Ciao!
You offer some great quotes to live by.
Falling is part of life , we must turn every failure into a learning stepping stone that prepares us better for the next challenge.
I saw the film on the life of Hellen Keller.a true fighter , all odds were against her. A true survivor.
Often those that can see are blind and miss what is truly important.
Too many ( including me) waste too much energy blabbering. Our actions speak more about us than our words.
Quality over quantity one should strive to have friendships that enrich our lives. Many so called friends are toxic ,, one needs to find the courage to cut those branches off.
Keep safe!

Well done on this entry for the Quotes contest. I like all the ones you chose and the notes on each one. But the last one is the best, and your closing line is perfect. "I ask myself, will God approve, then surely would my mother"

The poem certainly quotes words of wisdom! I really liked how the author
gave many quotes because all of us see things differently. I liked all the quotes but my favorite one is the one by your Mom because it suggests to make decisions close to God and throw out all the rest! I can't go wrong with this quote one. The artwork is awesome!
Hi Debi, hope you are doing well!....Maria

Several of these quotes made me start to thinking. I had never heard Disney's quote nor the Nelson Mandela one. Both struck a chord in me. I was able to latch on to each and lived your rebuttal. (That's not the right word but it's all thats coming to me.) I liked the humor of your admission that you liked to talk to much. Great entry. Good luck in the contest. Gretchen

Hi Debi, four fantastic quotes. I love each and everyone of them. After reading Nelson Mandela's quote, I thought that perhaps the saying, "It's not how you fall, but how you get up." was derived from that.
I liked Walt Disney's quote, it reminded me of something that my husband use to say to the kids, "Do more, say less."
Let's face it. Heller Keller in her world of blindness made this world a more beautiful place for generation to come.
Last but not least is the fantastic quote by your own mother who was honored on the Oprah Winfrey show. Her words are surely words of wisdom, and I can see who you so graciously take after--your mom, in case you have any doubt. Smiley face. I especially liked:
Make decisions that are close to God, and throw out all the rest
(WOW. If that's not a good road map through life, nothing is.)
Well done. Beautifully written. A pleasure to read. As this is a contest entry, I wish you good luck. Xo. M ~ LateBloomer

Margaret, I thank you so very much for your lovely review and kind words for my quote poem. And also for your generous gift of six stars! My mom really was a wise woman, and I think she would have loved that I included her quote in this. So thanks again for reading and reviewing and your kind comments.. You have no idea how much the whole package means to me!
It's so appreciated, my dear sotu!

I liked your take on this contest, by that I mean how you rewrote each quote as directed in your notes.
I liked the Helen Keller result the most...
Helen Keller
For family and friends, love in our heart is how to see
My blind friends can see better, than some whose sight is free
I can't see you FS friends, but you mean the world to me
This is a great site, isn't it?
Cheers my friend. John

Hi Debi,
Your note describe the stanzas well. I think your mono-rhyme tersets interpret the quotes well. Kudos to you mother with her words of wisdom and Oprah's recognition of her. Did your mother really rhyme her quote?
Good luck in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy.

Sweet. A kind and thoughtful way to live. This was a great contest to allow the writer to share their inspirations. Few of us have our mother's quote to add to our list.
Well done Debi
Blessings

One of my two most liked quotes, the first is anonymous, "I see it all, dais the blind man, my ears can hear, said the deaf man" and the second, "Folly is folly whether committed by one man, or a million." The name of the author is obscure. But I love your interpretations Debi, this is beautifully written my friend, blessings Roy
