I like this story you told in just 60 words! It was fun and amusing. It shows that not a lot has to happen to make a great story. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Thank you for your kind review.

This is an interesting 60-word dash. He is complemented about being well dressed and then thanked for letting the vicar see him hatless. That is a thing to make a man wonder.

The story is actually about a woman. Never mind, I should have made it clear. Thank you.

Yah, a woman wearing a hat is more unusual these days.
Comment from Terry Broxson
For sixty words, this is a good little story for the contest, good luck. I am amused at myself because, at first, I thought, surely this fella does not wear a hat in church, and the Vicar would not make such a comment. But then it occurred to me this must be a lady's story because she would be properly dressed for church with one. Excellent work. Terry.

You are very insightful. Thank you.

I like how you set the scene in the Community Center and introduce Father David, using dialog. But I find your ending (the last) line very weak. Even in a story this short, the reader is expecting to be surprised.

You are probably right. Thank you.

Sixty words is a very tight requirement to get a story out.
You were able to introduce two characters and make a point so that is a job well done.

This is a 60 Word Dash Contest Poetry Entry rich in Theme and Imagery.
It also read well and flowed well with No Grammar Issues.
Good luck with your contest entry and have a Blessed Christmas.
