Thank you for sharing this adorable contest entry with us. I enjoyed reading and smiled as I read. I'm worried about poor Santa without Rudolf. LOL Even though I have no children at home I still follow Santa's route every Christmas Eve. Good luck with the contest.

Loved it! Made me smile. Good luck in the contest and kudos to you for the creative approach and for not sentimentalizing the heck out of this much over-worked holiday.

Haha, what a fun limerick, Paul. Great job with the
style of limericks. Your rhymes read well, the flow
was smooth, and your story hopefully isn't true.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes in the contest, Jan

Paul, you have written a very fun limerick for this contest. And you kept it "G" rated. Good luck in the contest. Let's do hope that the cold does not keep Rudolph out for long. Good work. Terry.

Thanks, Terry. "G" rated limericks are rare. I had to hold back.
Comment from Begin Again
Very cute, but I fear Santa might be appreciating the delay as he swings in his hammock beneath the palms. Might this be a bit of trickery so Santa and Rudolph can steal away for a vacation?

Thanks, Begin. When he sent me that post card with the palm trees, I thought he was up to something.

Ha-ha! (Or should I say ho-ho...)
A few days left... Here's hoping some R&R for Santa and Rudolph WILL get them up up a for away in the sleigh in plenty of time!
(Alternatively perhaps acted sunburned nose will have to do!)
Cute!

Thanks, Karenina. A sunburned nose is something I didn't think of.

I really wouldn't wish that on poor Rudolph! (smile)

Depends. Is it overcast? Foggy? or partially cloudy? Maybe he could unwrap something his elves packaged, such as a GPS. In a world filled with technology, Santa can more than likely, stay at home, give Ruddy a bone or a bale of sweet hay, call Amazon and have they or FedEx or UPS deliver this year.
