cute, cute, cute - once again.
Sounds like a great party and neat family members. And for sure, Texan!
I never learned to boot scoot, as I came from Georgia, but my daughter is a true blue Texan to her bones, and a great dancer.
Neat story, Terry. much enjoyed.

I enjoyed reading this, but I was hoping it was non-fiction. LOL Thank you for sharing this little family conspiracy that worked perfectly.

This wonderful exhibits the wisdom of allowing every voice to be heard, rejection if deserved can come after, but suppressing that voice before it has a chance to be heard can stifle helpful and creative ideas.

A match made by granddaughters. This was a great story. I've spent a few Christmas's Texas style in my day. I look forward to your next story. Enjoy your Sunday. Shirley

I enjoyed the story. I want to point out one place where I got the wrong idea for a little bit...
"He owns the HotHouse Eating and Drinking Emporium in Mesquite. He also has a new partner, Ric, who is also the frontman for the HotHouse Five..." (When I read that he had a new "partner," my first impression was that he was gay. Perhaps insert the word "business?") Or you can ignore me. :-)

Thomas, thank you for the six stars. You make a good point about his partner. This is actually where a couple of other of my stories come together. I should have done that better. Thanks, Terry.

A Christmas Texas style sounds like something I'd love to try to pull off here in upstate NY with a few variations, of course. This was a great read, Terry. I'm glad it all worked out. Best, JohnC

This is a delightful second installment to the Texas holidays story. I did wonder what the ladies would do to compete with the Thanksgiving gala that Willowmina threw. With the introduction of Clyde into the picture, it looks like they might have topped it.

In a way, I am walking in Grandma's shoes and this year I find that the notion of "family gatherings" is dwindling to a "mine" and "Yours". As long as Grandma was satisfied with the awesome party and jetting off to celebrate alone with Clyde, the story works for them. For me, Christmas has always been the gathering of families and friends - the more the merrier. Times change, I guess.
Thanks for sharing!
Always, Carol

I liked this a lot Terry. The story is very well thought out. I loved the idea of the four T's. They did arrange a great party.
Now, I loved the very ending. Such a typical answer from a teenager who couldn't care less. Ulla:)))

That was lovely. The four T's and sons of Willowmina, each have a wonderful family Christmas, leaving Willowmina and Clyde to have a wonderful romantic Christmas day of their own making! Loved that idea, and it worked perfectly! Well done, Terry! Have a wonderful Christmas, and a fabulous 2023! :)) Sandra xx
