That's a very well-written and thoughtful, beautiful poem. You have chosen an excellent theme and developed it well, with smooth rhyme and metre. Thank you for sharing.

a powerful and moving poem about hope and the need for us to all have something to aspire too. I like the following stanza the best
absent of hope, can a man find his way?
How hard will he work with no promise of pay?
How long is the night, as you wait the dawn of day?
Man suffers the darkness when light has gone away.

Where are we without hope? Lost no doubt as you conveyed so beautifully with your words. I enjoyed your poem, the way you posed questions and how you asked and then answered with another question to get your point across. I also like and agree with your notes and that we all need to put in the effort also.

Thank you for reading and reviewing.

Without hope life would be dismal indeed. The stars shine brightest on the darkest of nights. We just need to look up and follow our dreams. Thanks for an inspiring piece.

Thank you for an inspiring review.

I really enjoyed this poem. The first stanza immediately grabbed me and, from there, each stanza built nicely on everything that had come prior. Well executed.

Thank you for your review. The illustration is of a man standing at the tip of a mountain.

Comment from Rachelle Allen
Wise and spot-on, deep and heartfelt, this poem definitely made me pause and think and explore...exactly what GOOD poetry does! So, thank you for the excellent read. It's also presented visually as beautifully as it rolls off my tongue (I always read poetry out loud because I know that's the only way good poetry makes sense.)
Thank you for this wonderful read this evening.

These four monorhyming quatrains praising hope, raise important attributes. We are told that the greatest of the three is charity, but I agree that without hope we are lost.
