I've never heard that story. We always see the depictions of the crucifixion and Jesus is draped with material. His upper torso might be bare. This was a very hopeful poem. I love seeing notifications of your poetry in my messages. Thank you for posting. Gretchen

Your interpretation and choice of descriptive words gave me chills. Your poem captures a very big event in relatively few words which is not often easy to do! Thank you for the added context - I had never heard the story of the torn veil and Jewish temple.
