Hello Sandra,
This is a great way to include your readers in the decision;
Time-Travelling Rectifiers is an excellent title too.
With two popular characters, it's hard to go wrong,
but usually, there is one 'eccentric' character like Bessie and Margot,
Mildred and Veronica, Holmes and Watson, Laurel and Hardy, Abbot and Costello... so you'll have be careful about sharing space between two.
But I think you're up to it, so I say "go for it." Double trouble is double fun.

Thank you, Robert. I said to Pam I wondered what you'd think. Pam liked the idea, as have everyone else. I can see what you mean about the two like-minded characters, but I'm hoping with Mildred being the 'careful' warm-hearted type, and Bessie being the wise one with a good sense of fun, they will complement each other. They are both good people so I'm crossing my fingers I can pull this off.

I was really stumped, Helen. So many of Mildred's fans have been on at me to bring her back, then I wrote The Return, and I've been asked to write a sequel. In the end I wondered about combining their talents but I needed to see what people thought first. So far everyone has liked the idea! So I'm going with it. I have to admit to feeling really humbled that my characters have been taken to heart so much. I never expected that. But I'm going to have fun writing the stories, the scope is endless! What a clever idea! This could be very interesting. Of course, as you know, Mildred is my favorite. I'm eager to see what these two get up to. While I enjoyed this latest book with Bessie, nothing can top the trilogy of Mildred and Victoria.

Ah, Sandra, I can't offer an educated suggestion. I've neglected your writing for too long. Clearly, these characters have strong followings--and I'm sure I know why. They're a hoot.
This reminds me of a couple of scripts I've written where my characters try to push me around.

Whatever you decide, Sandra, I'm sure it'll be the best decision.

I wrote the first book with Mildred in, back in 2016, it was the start of a trilogy and although Mildred hadn't started out as a main character, I could see how much the readers liked her, so I gave her a stronger role. If you liked Bessie, you will like Mildred, and they will be perfect together. I'm thinking a series, too. Thank you, Judy, so far I haven't had one not like the idea.

I hope it's not serious? I would be doing the same as you if it was my grandchild who was going to be operated on. I wish him a speedy recovery.

Thanks Sandra. It isn't a matter of surgery. He's been going through a lot of mental distress and acting out that my daughter had been trying to deal with for too long. He will be assessed in hospital, as soon as there is a spot for him. It's a distance from them so she will stay in the city, while her husband and daughter remain at home. She will definitely need her family members to take turns being there to support her, and him. Thanks for your concern.

14! Bless him. There's too much going on in youngsters lives these days that we don't know about. I do hope this will help him. It's good that he has the support of his family. He'll know one day that you all cared, even if he doesn't at the moment. I'll add him to my prayers. xx
