Wow, I would have never suspected Lucy and she tried to the end to persuade Miles, she even blamed Jack, the stable boy, Sandra. This was very well done and surprisedly greatly enjoyed. Poor Bessie and even poorer Margot were just supposed to return home. Blessings n hugs!

Well, I'm glad they saved Meg. Now what to do about Megon. Great job as usual. I'm always ready to read more. Have a wonderful Sunday afternoon. Shirley

I should have thought about Lucy, but I didn't. Meg will forget about her visitors, but Margot is going to remember, and is going back to a life without Miles. That would be a very hard thing to deal with. Hopefully, she'll find her own Miles in her own time. Anymore shenanigans coming from Margot and Bessie?

Only two readers thought it would be her, and I wasn't going to confirm or deny it! Lol. One more chapter to go, and you will see what happens with Margot. I couldn't leave her wandering around in a void of loneliness and pain, could I? Lol. Thank you so much for this lovely review, and the golden sixth star, dear SATP. Love you loads. Sandra xxx

-An excellent chapter, Sandra.
-We know who wanted to murder Meg, but she didn't go without a fight!
-She was pretty feisty, and let all of her hidden rage come to the surface.
-Meg was not one to take it lightly, and slapped Lucy.
-That led to her tirade, and trying to get Miles on her side, but that wasn't going to work, either.
-It was interesting that she said Meg should have gone into service like she should have, and that she would visit Miles and console him.
-Then there was the party, and she was probably biding her time.
-You did a good job keeping it secret.
-I was saddened when Margot realized that Meg couldn't see her anymore, but she still wanted to see things through so people got their just due, but that isn't going to happen. I got the feeling that Meg was looking for her, too.
-You did a great job with the whole story, and I hope there is some kind of closure regarding Margot. I liked her character a lot. You really made her come to life, and she cared about doing the right thing!
-Well done, my friend.

I'm really glad you liked Margot, She couldn't take Miles away from her, and it couldn't have happened, anyway. In those days, when a family like Megs, lose all their money and estate, the daughters would go into service, being a governess was the usual thing. They taught the children of the upper-class circle they no longer belonged to. They were looked down upon when that happens.
I've had a couple of reviews suggesting Meg said more when Lucy was having her rant. I've made a few changes now, I thought I'd warn you in case you had copied it as it was.

Thank you so much for the golden star, my friend and all the lovely comments. Some readers think this is the final chapter, but it isn't. I have to deal with Margot now. She's the one who needs some comfort. And of course, Bessie. What becomes of her? All should be revealed in the final chapter next week.
Thanks again, my dear friend. Love you loads. :)) Sandra xxx

Thanks for sharing everything, Sandra. I wait a while before I copy the story so the addition will be interesting. I will look forward to the concluding chapter, and I totally agree that Margot and Bessie deserve their own special chapter:) Love you back, too.

Hi Sandra, again you've written a most enjoyable chapter. So for now Meg has been saved, and all is well. But what about Margot? What will happen to her once she's back in her own time? I can't help thinking there's a little more to this story. A big hug, Ulla xxxc

Yes, we need to help Margot, she's going to be quite upset now that she's home.
Thank you so much, my friend, for another lovely review, and the six stars, but most of all, for all your support and encouragement. I'm hoping to read what Lorenzo and Martha are up to this week!! Love and hugs, Sandra xxx

I don't want this story to end. These characters have been like friends, and I always want to know what is going to happen next to them. That's a sign of very good writing.

One more chapter, Barbara. Margot will be needing a shoulder to cry on. Who? Thank you so much for the golden sixth star, and that lovely comment. I really appreciate it. Warm hugs, my friend. Sandra xx

This was a surprise I didn't see coming. She wasn't on the list of suspects. I hope someone changes the cut strap before they go on the hunt. This is a nice climax to the story. I look forward to whatever else. It seems Margo and Bessie have left the building.

No, she wasn't, now one even thought of her. Tell a lie, two did, but I didn't let them know if they were right. I'm sure they'll say something to me when they read it. Lol. And Jan mentioned the cut strap and the hunt, I've gone in again and added a line asking Jack to change the saddle! Phew, I hope I haven't messed up anywhere else. Thanks so much, Beth. Margot and Bessie are back in Margot's real time now. We will see how she takes it next week. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

This was a wonderful chapter. I had decided during the week that logically it had to be Lucy, but of course one can never be certain until one reads the words... Kate xx
Please consider:
But when Lucy's eyes brightened in a sudden frenzy of madness, then rolled over > i.e. Lucy's eyes rolled over
eyes, cut > eyes cut

I laughed, I hadn't seen that, Kate. You're right, I've changed it now so Lucy's eyes don't roll over! Lol. Thank you so much for that. I'm glad you're one of the first to review. Thank you so much for the sixth star, that was so nice of you. Now I have to sort Margot out. Thanks, my friend. Warm hugs, Sandra xxx

Worthy of its rating now! but I never doubted you would fix it, as I know your perfectionism. That's why I rated it as though fixed with no qualms haha!

This was a great climax but I found myself at a bit of a loss here. Now this may be just me but, I couldn't recall where Lucy fitted in to the scheme of things. Consequently her appearance at this point came over as a bit of 'deus ex machina'. I think she should have been more firmly established in your readers' minds, nearer this climactic event. that would have given it more impact.

'Margot had just about had enough of Lucy's nonsense...' This paragraph is in a different font size and colour to the rest of the post.

Lucy was Meg's best friend, at least Meg thought she was. Lucy has been in the story a couple of times and I had two come up naming her as the would be murderer a few weeks ago. You met Lucy at Meg's party, as well as a few chapters back. I'll go and check that font, I don't know how that happened. Thanks Jim. I'm off to sort it. :) Sandra xx
