This is another very well written and intense chapter, Sandra. Margot seems to be Megs, and makes me wonder what will become of her in the end. You've got a hold on your readers with this, for sure.
Just one little spag: Miles stood immediately (when) the sitting room door opened...

Thank you so very much, Judy, for another lovely review, and all the lovely stars! Everyone keeps asking what will happen to Margot, I'm not telling!! Lol. I've worked out there are only 3 chapters left, and a possible epilogue. I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that everyone will like the ending. Thanks for your continued support, my friend, you've been a great friend. Love and hugs, Sandra xx

You are most welcome, Sandra. I'm confident it will be a good ending. :)
Comment from Carol Hillebrenner
This is a good chapter showing the strength of character Miles and Margot/Meg have as they accept the unhappiness his parents have caused them. I no longer see a way that Margot can give up Meg's life. Hope you have a great plan.

Hi Carol, with possibly three chapters left, everyone's questions about Margot will soon be answered. :)) I'm delighted you enjoyed this chapter; thank you so very much for the lovely review. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Excellent use of the flashback to show us how Miles and Meg connected from the very first time that they met. I am glad that you also show how close Margot had come to Bessie and that they will all go to see the manor together. I guess Meg is still in there and may be able to communicate in some way to Margot as they view the house.

Thank you so much, Helen, for this fabulous review and all the six stars! I'm so happy that you enjoyed this chapter. I think we have 3 chapters to go. Have a wonderful week, dear friend. Love and hugs, Sandra xxx
Comment from Pam (respa)
-An excellent chapter, Sandra, that gives more insight into the story and characters, especially Miles' parents.
-It is developed well, and shows the concern Miles has about what his parents had done, but also shows how much he and Meg love each other.
-Miles does have good news about Meg's family home still being intact and being kept up by the staff.
-It will be very interesting to see what it is that has Margot in such an anxious state before she even goes in Lord Crawley's study.
-I am glad Margot asked Bessie to be with her before she and Miles explored the home.
-This line by Miles is very telling, 'Leave this room, with all its horrors, locked away.'
-It sounds like Margot is going inside the room herself, and who knows what is going to happen in there!
-Well done, my friend.
A small thing: entranced Those gorgeous [you left the period out here]

I'm so pleased you enjoyed this chapter, Pam. It was a long one, wasn't it? Lol. I don't think I'd want to go inside that room, but the saying, face your fears, works here, especially if Meg wants to be living there. Thank you for this lovely review, Pam, I do appreciate the time you spend reviewing. And a humongous hug for the golden star!! Have a wonderful week, dear friend. Love and hugs, Sandra xxx

You are very welcome and deserving of the stars and review, Sandra. I wonder what you have concocted about that room. I wouldn't be surprised if something jumped right out of it:):)

I still think there's more to come with exactly what happened. I can't wait to see why is in the study. I know it will help us understand more. This is really good writing.

Thank you so much for another lovely review, Barbara, and for all the stars, I really appreciated both. And thanks for pointing out that error! All fixed now. Have a lovely week, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

That must have been staggering news for Margo/Meg. Who would have thought that such pettiness existed to that extreme. I'm glad she has her family home to live in with Miles. When Meg returns to her time, will she have Bessie with her then?

No, Bessie will be off on another assignment, you will learn a lot more about her in the final chapter. How would you fancy another 4 or 5 books with Bessie?? Thank you so much for this lovely review, my dear SATP, and the golden star. Love you always. :)) Sandra xx
How would you like a chat in the week? I had to buy another keyboard and a webcam to put on top of my laptop. I'm more or less up and running now. Word of warning, don't do what I did, and have liquid near the computer. Mine didn't like coffee!!!! :)) xxxx

Bessie is fine, but my favorite is still Mildred. I'd love a chat. Give me fair warning. hahahaha
Comment from John Ciarmello
I feel like Margot has a sixth sense of what meg wants her to do. There is so much to be read between the lines with this story. It's exactly what I love about it. Miles has gotten all of that off his chest, and apparently, there is a decent side to mile's father. Loved it, Sandra.

This was a fantastic continuation chapter, Sandra. Miles and Margot/Meg finally had 'the talk' and Margot was set on returning to her house, regardless that she would have good memories and haunting ones as well. She was determined that she would survive the house and all it's reminders and the marriage to Miles. Great job, well done and greatly enjoyed. Hugs n smiles!

Now that Meg and Morag are drawing closer to the transition, there are tensions and stress in Morags mind. You have managed to show these clearly and efficently, we feel the crisis approaching. I also especially appreciated:
Margot sat and listened, [ ] as more details were divulged which they'd known nothing about.
This was a most efficient and consise way of letting the reader know that information they already know is being revealed to a new character. Well done.
Thoroughly enjoyed this chapter. Kate xx
Grammatical note:
Whether > needs a second opposing subclause (Whether X, or Y). Here, could use Perhaps or Maybe

Aw, Sandra so more and more is being revealed. Meg/Margot is now back in the house which is rightfully hers. What she will find when she enters her father's study, is anybody's guess. I simply love this story and can't wait to reading on. You write it so very well, dear friend. A big hug, Ulla xxxx

Thank you so much, Ulla. I'm so pleased you enjoyed it. I'm making notes for Bessie's next assignment. She'll have a series of perhaps four of five...investigations to help sort out. Thanks and big hugs for the gold star, you lovely lady!!! Lots of hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx
