This is complicated and a lot to read so I will tell you this before I bookcase your post.
You have spelled 'ton' with an extra 'ne' at the end. Is that because you are from another country or is that a typo? I like what you have to say and can't argue with any of your good points, it is just too long to read and I don't write any fictionalized stories right now.

Yep, it's quite dense but there's no natural break point for a post like this.
Tonne is correct. It's metric rather than imperial measurement.
