What a lovely story! I could picture you there, doing what you shouldn't and losing it all. I've done something similar, but it wasn't a happy ending. Not like yours. We all make mistakes, and we must learn to laugh at them. What's done is done, and you can't go back in time and change it. I loved this and wish you all the luck in the contest. :) Sandra xx

I enjoyed reading about you in the carnival. The problem with story telling is often knowing where to begin and how much to tell. I would omit everything up to that October you and Ronnie went to the carnival. We really don't need to know how you met and it's never made clear when you had your first date. You describe the dish & dime event very well.

Thank you for your input. I was trying to set the stage as to the type of guy Ronnie. I appreciate your take and will consider it in editing.

A superbly written story for the contest. You had me intrigued at the beginning and then I became engrossed as you related the possible trauma with the barker and your husband's loving response. Well done.

LOL, what a great story! Yes, I can see this as a winner of the contest, good luck! I love all the detail in the story about the gambling with barker and how he got your money. And a great love story as you found a great man! Exceptional work. Terry.
