Yes, sir, you sure do know how to create characters and share their thoughts and emotions with us readers. Plus, I may learn a new way of talking. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Haha, Ric, I hope you never are cursed to talk like that. After the cute wears off, it's a horror! Your six stars mean a lot, my friend.

Jay, another exceptional installment! I like the fun detail of the five-mile boulder. The $4000 note is an interesting touch, and now what was the money used for? Excellent work. Terry.

And a six! Whoa! Thanks Terry, for weighing in here and shooting in a few gallons more fuel for this expensive journey.

Now you have me wondering what Elizabeth plans to do with that four thousand dollars. It seems pretty evident that Thurston Flourney and the men knew ahead what the verdict would be. The trial was a farce. I'm loving the play and anxious for scene 3.

I hope to keep the interest revved up for the remainder of the play, Beth. I keep thinking the next will be the last chapter. Then the next. It's gotta come soon. Fanny's 85!

This is getting so good! That little whisp that Caleb may have been murdered. That doesn't put enough cream in my tea, but that's what you were hoping for. There are still so many dark corners to brighten. I loved it as usual, Jay!

Oh, John, when I read your words of encouragement, it gives me the additional spark to whip out another scene. Thank you, friend.

Jay,
Well conceived with fantastic language alliterations.
...
When I was reading it I was thinking about Judges and how there's only one person above that should have any kind of say in our lives.
But unfortunately, without judges.
Yes, and the Police.
Society would be a swarm of Anarchy.

Ricky! Ricky! Thank you so much for stopping by and weighing in. Yes, I suppose we need our earthly judges as well, sometimes even to revolt against!

I bet she did! I can't wait to read what she did do with that money, I'd like to bet the real murderers and the judge won't like it! It seems impossible for such a thing to happen, but as history dictates, it not only did happen, but happened a lot. What a terrible way for Fanny's father to die, and how awful that his own church kicked him out instead of supporting him. This was a fabulous chapter, Jay, and now I have to wait to find out what Alizabeth Albright did with that money! Well done, a wonderful chapter,my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

As always, Sandra, your review marks a highlight, having been penned by the queen of drama (and I mean that in the best possible way)! Your words and your sixes are cherished.

Jay,
Tell me more. Tell me more! There's more to this for sure.
But where's it going next?
This is clever in lots of ways, especially the way you have Miss Fanny talkin'. e.g. 'He already be a dead man inside. Th' outside jes ain't cetched up yet.'
Just waitin' for the next episode.

Ha! I'm so glad you shined the light on that small segment, Whitewave! It was one of those rare moments when Fanny's words dug deeper than their sounds. Your six was a wonderful reward. Thank you so much!

I admire people that belligerently face their perceived foe with panache and "elegance" Fanny and her friends are like that, they remind me of myself in many ways. You are certainly innovative with your writing Jay, well done, blessings Roy

OMG This idiom must be floating around in our imaginations. I actually used the same concept in one of my chapters. You'll recognize it when you see it, if either of us remember this discussion. So no it becomes real metaphor, with Fanny giving it worth. A little more sweepin to be done:
"Speck'lachun" I love this word: "Pshaw!"
We seem to be channeling the same muse.

I'll share my muse any day with you, Liz. She can be a hard taskmaster, though. Thank you again for weighing in and so kindly!
