I like your dad's poem. It is so much about every little boy's life. Everyone gets a crush and has to deal with it. You did a great job, thanks for sharing. Shirley

That IS cute and smile-provoking, and we definitely need something to smile about.
I worry, though, that if "the people", most Americans - and I mean real, patriotic people who love what this country was before this administration, don't rise up in righteous indignation and let our voices be heard, we won't have a country left. At least , not one we recognize.
But your piece was lovely and innocent, written in a time of innocence.

Thank you for the smile. You're right, it is a sad, worrisome time. It's awesome that you are in possession of this wonderful ditty written by your father to return a little humor to the world--(at least the Fanstory world)!

Hello Terry,
It's a nice piece of Humor Non-Fiction having lucid as well as perfectly matching the theme phraseology, captivating flow throughout from the beginning to the end, and beautifully achieving its object - a smile!
The Poem's last two sentences are particularly noteworthy.
Lovely presentation!

I like this essay speaks about your writing on love, as you have referred to a love poem written by your father Gil Broxson (1919 - 1992) telling about his love at his eight to a girl who then was married to Jim; well said, well done, post god speed more; b a classic-good (rare) theist writer, post 4 God; may pray FS sick Free Member Alcreator Litt Dear (DR)

That was simply beautiful, Terry, and I'm sure there are many young lads who went through that impossible first love. That your father wrote about his, all that time ago, tells us where your talent comes from. I enjoyed his innocent little poem. Thank you for sharing it, it certainly put a smile on my face! :)) Sandra
