I really enjoyed reading this, I love how you made almost every paragraph a new color (representing diversity within the work itself)! I loved reading about all of your travels and the joy you found in each one! this was exciting and beautiful. I can't wait for the day when diversity is not only accepted but encouraged and admired.

Thank you Timmory! I value the honour of the six stars. Beneath everything we are all simply human beings. I don?t necessarily agree with all forms of diversity, but that should not impact on my care for a person or appreciation of them. Harmony results from different notes played together.

You have certainly lead a very well travelled and diverse life yourself Wendy and you have given us a good insight into it. I have never understood why we can't just be peoe who are accepted for who we are not what race, colour, religion we are. A great read and well written. Cheers

Your open heart embraced people from all walks of life and I enjoyed your story Wendy. The Europeans are much more welcoming of people from other countries, whereas in England the census of opinion is so different as people are often aggrieved by interlopers as they see them as taking over their country. This is the attitude that encourages voters to leave Europe, which I find very sad. A lovely story Wendy and you have a lot of experience to offer your students, love Dolly x

I pray for the dreams you have of all of us appreciating each other, but it seems like a dream we may never realize. The differences are what make us all so interesting, but few seem to understand that.

Thank you Carol. A lovely review! It begins with just each individual making a small difference in his or her own circle, and hopefully there is a ripple effect.

That's wonderful how you already were open to the wide variety that God put in the world from your first meeting of those Dutch girls and then your travels in Europe and through all the international experiences with your children while living in Saudi Arabia! Yes, being exposed in youth about differences opens our minds to accepting differences in others. Thanks for for sharing!

You have been most blessed to experience these many different cultures, and I smile as I read everywhere you went you embrace the cultures--celebrating diversity as an asset, not a division.
Your children learned from an early age that not looking the same had no social value as regards qualities that count.
How magnificent that with all of that you saw your way to fostering a severely disabled boy.
Your point about caregivers often looking "non-traditional" is something I've experienced here as well.
Piercings, Tattoos, mohawks, dreads-- Merely features of individuality and not a value judgment on the quality of their heart or the level of care!
I can't believe it's Tuesday and somehow, I've managed to give out my allotted sixes ~~ how did THAT happen?
This is truly worthy of that rating, Wendy. I loved every word.

Thank you so much Karenina- high praise, which I value enormously, coming from you. I notice the quality and thoughtfulness of your reviewing. I liked what you said about "an expression of individuality", and I am sure you are right. Many thanks again.
