Another excellent chapter, Sandra. The pieces to the puzzle are starting to come together. But we are still a long way for the conclusion, I think, so I'll be staying tuned. Great writing.

This is a very exciting chapter. So suspenseful and captivating. Margot and Bessie's lives have certainly been turned upside down since this story began. I think they are getting closer to the reason why they are on this ghostly journey.

Aw, Sandra, this is getting better and better. Bessie and Margot are unearthing some very interesting papers, which incriminates Lord Brandon and the lawyer both alike. I can't wait to see how they are going to put it to good use.
I love the story, and it's also so very well written. A big Hug, Ulla xxxx

I'm so pleased you think so, Ulla. You've made my day. I'm delighted you are still enjoying the story, and a big thank you for the golden star! I just had to read and reply to you before I went to bed. I am so very tired. Thanks again, my friend. Love and hugs Sandra xx

Bessie is a really good detective. She comes up with good ideas one after another. She is smart enough to ponce a bunch of keys that looked like house keys. They will let her in anywhere she needs to go. LOL Good job. Margot has guilt feelings and I can understand why. She is playing with fire when it comes to her own emotions. Well done, Sandra. Nancy:)

Thank you so much, Nancy, for coming along and reading this chapter. Yes, Margot realises she is going to be left hurt and very sad when this is all over. But she can't stay. I'm so pleased you are still enjoying my story, my dear friend. Love and humungous hugs, Sandra xxxx

Hey, Sandra, I'm traveling on the Oregon coast, so it's difficult to do a thorough review, but I wanted to award a six to one of my favorite writers on FS. This six is for all your great work.

This story gets better and better. I guess I feel sorry for Margot. She's fallen in love with Miles, but lives in a different era. Not good.
'I's thinking you's either had a bad night, or a good one,' her grin widened. (period after 'one' and capital 'h' on 'Her')
Margot realised that she'd been asking herself lots of questions (you can omit 'that')

Thank you so very must for another lovely review, Barbara, and the gold star, I really appreciated them both. A humongous hug for picking up those nits, I've corrected them both. That was so nice of you to let me know. :)) Warm hugs, my friend. Sandra xx

Chilling scheme. I trust that Meg and Bessie's ingenuity will trump the diabolical plot and that Meg's morning-after musings will be purged of the guilt factor. Well done! How many to go?

Thank you, Liz, I'm glad I remembered to let you in this time!! A few more, but it's not going to be as long as others, more of a novela than a novel. You can only keep something going so long without it turning into something incredibly boring. Thanks for the lovely review, my friend. Now I have to come up with what colour I think your hair is now!! :)) Sandra xxx

Now, we just have to hope the butler isn't on the take and give the letter as he is supposed to. LOL. Devious minds are always working and out of control. Thanks for sharing.

Comment from Pam (respa)
-An excellent chapter, Sandra, that amps up the mystery and suspense.
-Good use of descriptive detail in the beginning to show how things were done back then. The idea of cold water in the morning gives me chills!
-I can only imagine Margot's conflicted feelings, and it is an interesting conundrum when she goes to her own time.
-Bessie and Margot make a good team and are also organized.
-They plan out how to get proof in order to implicate Crankston and Lord Brandon in the scheme to ruin Miles.
-A good ending leaving us wondering about this slip of paper that just happened to fall out of the book!!
-Well done, my friend. The plot thickens!!

Thank you so much, Pam, for all your lovely, detailed comments. Cold water showers when you get out of bed are supposed to be really good for you. I'll take their word for it, and carry on with hot ones!! The note Bessie has found will shock Margot, but that's for the next part! Thank you for the golden star, my friend, you're really kind. Love and hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx
-
You are very welcome and deserving of the stars and review, Sandra. I know that cold showers are supposed to be good, but I get up early and our water takes forever to heat up, and it is cold!!! I don't get in until it's at least lukewarm. I will look forward to the note:):) Poor Margot, getting shocked again!!!
-
She's more upset for what it will do to Meg, it's an eye-opener! xx
-
An "eye-opener doesn't sound all good, but I bet Bessie and Margot will have to add it to their 'to do' list. I have faith that Bessie will come through!!!
