Thank you for posting this interview. I have read some of his works. he is right when he tells that one has to concentrate between what is between the first word and the end word.

Thank you. RGstar is indeed a real treasure to read, and I was grateful for his participation in the project. Terry.

I really enjoyed reading RGs interview, and learned from it. The poetry he rights is exquisite and unique. I've only written one poem in the way he has mentioned here, and it is my favourite. I'll be trying to write more like it. He is so right in what he says about not worrying about the end rhyme but let it come where if feels right. My poetry for children has always had end rhyme and won't change that, but for other work I'll be practicing more the way RG writes, not that I ever expect to be as good at it as he is. RG is also fortunate enough to have the soft, lyrical sound in his voice that brings you in and almost hypnotises you. I enjoyed reading this interview, Terry, and look forward to the rest of it. Well done. :)) Sandra xx

Hi there,
Another one of my favourite writers and someone I've had a bit of discourse with over thee years. Great choice. I'd have preferred to have seen the whole interview presented as one, as you did with the other writers. I get it may be longer but I'm sure FanStorians could cope. This is less than 900 words.
All the best

Thank you for reading and your review. RG is a treasure for the FS members. I am grateful he consented to participate. Any criticism about length should be directed at me. I made the decision to present his interview in three sessions. The next two will be released over the next week.
It would be cheaper to promote one long interview rather than three shorter ones. But as Jay Squires cautions, try to avoid a wall of words. The old adage of leaving an audience wanting more also comes to mind.
I do know you are a gifted and popular writer so you comment is duly noted. You may wish to wait a few days until the other two are released to read them at the same time. Thank you, Terry.

Amazing glimpse inside the mind of a genius, in my opinion!
When I receive notice that RG has posted, he has my full attention. I always read through his poems slowly, deliberately allowing the flow of his words to buoy me line to line.
At times I stop... A pause of introspection, allowing the emotions his phrasing and theme elicits to fully breathe...
His recitation of his work is masterful! However much I have been moved by reading his verse, listening to his inflection, and tone lend an intimacy to the experience.
He is as kind and caring a soul as he is a poet...
We're blessed to have him among us and your interviews-- of Helen, Jay, and now part one of RG's have been brilliant!

I'm glad you chose RG for this third interview, Terry. In my view, he is one of the best poets on this site, and it is fascinating to read a little of how he constructs his poems. There is much to be learnt from his approach.

Comment from Jay Squires
Wow! This is some deep stuff. I only hope the reader takes the time to read it for the full intent that RG put into it. This is education for the poet's soul.
" ...your end rhyme is only there stopping words from falling off the edge." I don't think I've encountered a better raison d'etre for an end-rhyme. Bravo, RG!

An excellent choice for a third interview. RGStar does put into practice what he speaks of here, and this authenticity is what makes his work quite unique, individual and powerful. I enjoyed reading his thoughts, and he is right. Many people seem to pick a thought, and then artificially find a word which rhymes with the end word, add a preceding line - but the thoughts are disconnected, there is no flow and no consistency, no development of the idea. Thank you for sharing. All interviews so far have been very insightful.

I have thoroughly enjoyed your interviews with three of FanStory's top recognized authors. Each one shared a slightly different perspective on developing ideas and conducting reviews. I'm glad you chose RGStar as the third interview. His advice on end rhymes verses conviction, soul, and essence is invaluable. I really appreciate your clever idea to conduct interviews, and hope you consider doing it again in the future.
