This skillfully-written poem, with excellent rhyme and moving, heartfelt
wishes for the eventual return of joy in life, will touch her heart, I'm sure, even more than it has touched mine.

What a lovely thing to say, Janice, I truly hope they help her. It's hard to know what to do to comfort someone who is grieving. Thank you, my friend. Warm hugs. Sandra xx

Aw, Sandra, that I such a beautiful and heartfelt poem you have written to Linda. I'm sure she will feel much comforted by your lovely words.
I wish I could write her a poem, but I wouldn't know how.
A big hug, Ulla:)))

Hi Ulla, thank you for reading my poem. But you can write poetry, those little haikus and 5-7-5s is poetry. I can't for the life of me write those. Thanks for your kind words, dear friend. Warm hugs, Sandra xxx

I've been thinking of writing a haibun. It combines a haiku with prose. That That way I can express my sentiments. A big hug, Ulla xxx

I like those, but could never write one. My poetry has no rules, no anything, I just count the syllables! Lol. xx
-
Wow, I wish could do that. You're a natural. xx

It's never easy to lose someone we love, but thankfully, it's only the shell that truly dies. And in many cases, it's so withered and torn from its exposures. Our souls move on to the promise of eternal life, where we'll know each other as we were here on earth. Why we are told not to grieve, but to celebrate. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with you, Ric. I want my loved ones to remember me with a smile and a good belly laugh when I die. But it's not easy to do when it's your loved one that died. I find myself laughing now about
some of the fun things I did with my mum, but it took me a long time to get to this point. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this, my friend. Warm hugs. :)) Sandra xx

Thank you for this. I am sure Linda is deeply touched. I have one living brother out of the five, and my only sister is still here. I almost lost Suzy last year but she is better now. Life certainly is precious and can turn on a dime. Our FanStory family is a close knit group and our losses and gains collective. Linda is so very special to so many here.
Sending you my best today as always, dear Sandra,

You're right, Sal, we are a family, and hurt when one of us hurts. All we can do is hope to comfort through our words. I hope Linda will. I'm glad I'm not writing this for you and that your sister is fully recovered now. Warm hugs, my friend. :))Sandra xx

What a touching and heartfelt prayer poem for a friend. It also will touch the hearts of so many on FanStory as well including mine, of course. I also loved your thoughts on the dandelion. Comforting words needed today.
Hugs and love, Carol

This is a well written touching poem. A very encouraging, heartfelt poem. The poem flows well, and the message very caring. Your picture, and the reason you chose this flower in your notes complimented the poem nicely.

You have a great poem. And yes, as the seeds float and settle to start a new life, it will continue. As our soul in heaven will live eternally. No more tears or pain. Thank you. Have a great morning.

Thank you so much, Pam. I do hope it does help Linda in some way. They are not the poems we like to write, because we know someone is suffering. I'm glad you liked it, thanks, my friend. Warm hugs, Sandra xx

You are welcome, Sandra; I think it will mean a lot to Linda. They are not easy to write, but you did a nice job.
