The plot gets more convoluted by the minute. Could we have some hint of what it is that makes Gwendolyn so undesirable. Not stuff like warts but perhaps she scowls or something. I liked the expression 'beyond plain' but I wondered in what direction and how.

I found it interesting that these guys are invisible yet the have a concrete presence as they have to open doors to go through them, unlike most 'ghosts'.

This continues to be a fascinnating story. Watch out for expressions out of period. Sleeping around first appeared in the USA in 1928 but I fancy it was a lot later that it appeared in UK.

Thank you so much for this lovely review and the golden star!!
Your point about them being invisible but still concrete enough to open doors. I did hum and haw about that, they aren't ghosts, and thinking about other fantasy films, ie, the invisible man, he was still physical but people couldn't see him unless he put clothes on. So, I will add something to that affect as to how Bessie and Margot can.
The other thing about 'sleeping around' it was Margot who said that, and she would say something like that. She's the one from the future.
I'll add a bit more detail about Gwendolyn's looks, but I'll have to think about what to put without going over the top.
All the other details around that time I have double-checked on Google to make sure the factual details are right.
I liked your questions, especially the invisibility of the women.
Thanks again, my friend. Warm hugs, Sandra xx

If she looked like our BBC's reporter in Ukraine, Lyse Doucet it would probably be enough but of course yiu couldn't say that in open court. Lol.

Hmm, not quite general fiction, with invisibility, time, and ghosts. But, I 's like this chapter. It is full on intrigue, guessing at motives, assumptions based on little information and personal biases. So much is going on underneath.

What a lovely review, Lancellot, thank you so very much. I wasn't sure what to put this book under so I left it as general fiction until I worked it out. As you say, there is a lot going on, perhaps 'Fantasy' would cover it?
I'm just so pleased you enjoyed this chapter, and I loved that word at the bottom, 'Flawless,' sending a big hug for that! :))
Have a wonderful day. Sandra xx

They've discovered nothing in Richard's study, apart from some salient things concerning Gwendolyn's father. But that is not going to incriminate the man, but it turns out that that Gwendolyn hates Richard, that would seem like that's their hope in this matter, well done, blessings Roy

Another interesting couple here with Richard and Gwendolyn. I like how you have us consider all options and motivations. You are using Bessie and Margot to help us observe all the possible factors and situations that led up to Meg's death. I hope the time-traveling detectives will uncover the mystery in time!

This was a superb continuation chapter Sandra. I really enjoyed Margot's reaction to Gwendolyn who really surprised her with her hatred to Richard. Perhaps they will find something intimidating for all three, Gwendolyn, Richard and Meg's father. Very well done, greatly enjoyed. Blessings, hugs n smiles!

I love Bessie's expression. I like "Up my nose." I've heard that before. She is also pretty shrewd, and Margot is lucky to have her for a guide. Richard comes off as pretty despicable. Even his wife doesn't care for him, but she is thinking of her position. Margot and Bessie believe Gwendolyn is worth looking into her. Could she have had something to do with Meg's death? This is so intriguing, and you really keep the reader engaged. judi

Yes, Richard isn't at all nice! And I agree with you about Bessie, she is shrewd and perfect for Margot to help solve this case. I'm so pleased you are still enjoying my story, Judi. Thank you so much for the gold star that goes with this fabulous review, I really appreciate both. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

This is getting more and more intriguing, Sandra. I have to keep checking the character list to keep them all straight. lol I guess we'll be visiting all of there homes at some point, looking for clues. Well done.

A couple of typos: "Gwendolyn certainly wasn't born with any pleasing features,(;) in fact, Margot felt quite sorry for her." - a semi-colon is more appropriate here.
"if it is her(she) that starts it off?" - she is the subjective form of the pronoun. You wouldn't say "her starts off" right?

Richard is really something isn't he. Poor Gwendolyn married to the likes of him. Talk about dysfunctional families. I think you are on to something here. Sandra. Good story line.
Yes, 'Let's go and keep Gwendolyn company.' See what makes her tick. LOL Nancy:)

Hi Sandra,

good chapter here once again. Very sound technically and a nice clean write.

More players on the board to keep things moving and interesting. Good stuff.

to look more into our lady Gwendolyn - perhaps capitalise Lady here.

All the best
G

Hello, Sandra! I love each layer of the onion you peel off. How awful is it to hate your sister because she'd have a greater title. I guess I don't understand the whole Royal hierarchy. No offense, but I don't understand people's fascination with the Royal family here in the states. Sometimes what happens there will make headlines on the news here. Camilla gets a title, Archie isn't a Prince, Prince George goes to school. Such gossip. But I digress, you have started quite the list of suspects in Meg's death. I'm loving the way this is advancing. I will mill around in my head all week your possible hints.
Mill around is an idiom that came from the days that farmers would take their grain to the mill to have it processed. It was a busy day and the mill was a meeting place for the farmers, so they would get to talk to their neighbors and get caught up on the latest gossip. So they were milling around. I learned that when we visited a working mill in Tennessee that was from the 1800s.
I hope you have a good week. Hugs my friend, Sally :)

I would hate to be a part of the royal family, your life isn't your own. Archie is a prince, and so if George, but George will one day be King. If the royal family is still going then, which I think it will, they bring in so much tourism people wanting to visit and see Buckingham Palace.
Miles will be a Duke after his father dies, which makes him a relative of the royal family. That would really upset Richard if he was to find out she and Richard are still together. You must let me know what your milling around comes to! lol. Thank you so much, Sally, for this really lovely review, and the golden star. Love and hugs, my friend. Sandra xxx
