Linda, I think you've chosen a most excellent theme for your 2-4-2 poem. It is one of the few short poems I've read that needs no explanation and no punctuation. It is as clear as any message could possibly be, and I believe that message with all my heart. We can know who wins the battle every time, whether or not it is at first apparent. "Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen." (Hebrews 11:1) And in that same chapter, "Without faith it is impossible to please God... " (v.6) So... you have a most wonderful little poem that gives a very big message. Good luck in the contest. Thanks for this! MM

Hello L. Raven,
What a marvelous piece of poetry this is!
It meets all the required norms.
Impressive phraseology.
Enchanting flow depicting an INSPIRATIONAL theme worth enjoying and reciting in one short breath!
'Nothing can stop a person from achieving / winning anything in the world, with backing of the Almighty God!' - Nicely said.
Laudable Attempt!!
BEST OF LUCK in the contest.

Hi L. Raven,
I came to know from Sandra just now that your youngest brother passed away on the 12th of March, and the 12th was the 1st Anniversary of your mother's passing also.
So SAD! A matter of great SORROW!!
Anyways, please face this unexpected tragedy like a bold lady as you are! May God grant peace to the departed soul, and courage to you to bear this irreparable loss!
With best wishes, ~ RP

It's difficult to create a 2-4-2 poem that delivers a complete thought, but you've accepted and met the challenge. With faith in God, all things are possible and we DO win. Best wishes in the contest.

Thank for this positive piece of poetry on such a winter's day ... so much negativity in our world's news this season of seasons ... my heart breaks for those most in need of the peace found in your words.

"stand strong
held in God's hands
we win"
Such true word, God created this world and He has a plan. We can rest assured that He is in control and that all things are working they way He planned.

Comment from karenina
I like the juxtaposition between the title: "He Will Win" and your message as regards the final line "we win." There is a message therein that far exceeds the eight-syllable parameters of this prompt! The perfect image was chosen as well. Good luck!

It's so DIFFICULT, isn't it? This form, these constraints, leave so very little room for making an actual point, for having real content. And you've done it here, taking a giant idea and reducing it to single-syllable words. I wish you all the luck in the world (get it?) in the contest. Thanks for posting.
