Thank you for sharing this, Roy. It sounds like it will be a wonderful song for the children, containing the story of Christmas. I notice in Verse 6, that "treasures" is missing an "e", and I think you meant myrrh, instead of "mer".

What a perfect writing of the Birth of Christ. With or without music it is a wonder to read and think of the Birth.
A couple of missteps: Frankincense and myrrh are the correct spelling.
Thank you for this read.
Regards,
Mary

Thank you for sharing this poem/song with us. I enjoyed reading and I am positive the children will equally enjoy reading. I am sure Jesus loves children's smiles.

I enjoyed reading your new song, Roy. It has a lovely story embedded in it that tells about our Lord in simple, understandable language. Wish I could hear the tune that you have matched to it. Great job.

This poem, when set to music, will convey a wonderful, profoundly joyous and spiritual message to the children at your church. You have some misspellings in stanza 6.

The poem cleared communicated in song, the real reason for the season of Christmas. Great lyrical flow with suitable rhymes. Thanks for sharing your inspiration, and using your works to promote the message of Christ which is love and salvation. Well done, dear Roy.

Well done, Roy. You did a wonderful job on this poem. It tells the story of Christ's birth in just a few stanzas.
That is indeed the true meaning of Christmas and not really about Santa Claus. God sent his son to set us free from sin.. Nancy:)

What a beatiful song! You not only cover Jesus' glorious birth, but you incorporate salvation and His promise that one day we will live with Him. And that's precisely why He was born. He began the fulfillment of God's plan since the beginning of time - to be the sacrificial Lamb to open wide the door to heaven. He atoned for us and all we have to do is accept His redemptive love. What a wonderful God we serve, and what a wonderful servant you are! You are truly a blessing to us all. Thank you.

It's a lovely song you wrote! It reads like it was inspired because it is the full and complete story in just a few verses. You touched on every facet, so seamlessly and with rhyme. Well done!
A couple tiny things...
Frankincense, myrrh, treasures. .few misspellings in verse 6. They don't impede the beautiful story poem though!
A suggestion...to save us all (to) live with Him.
Blessings today and always,
Tina
