Your faith is made manifest in this stunning paean to the Lord. This would have made for a fine entry in the faith poetry contest too. Elegant and graceful.

Lovely poem to the Lord for all He has done and keeps doing for us as we try to live this life with our imperfect selves. He's with us in our "battlefields" and "stormy seas."
Isaiah 53 is a great reference to share. Handel used so many of these verses in his oratorio, the Messiah!

Thank you so much, dear Helen, for your spectacular review, six-star rating and very meaningful comments.
Handel's "Messiah" is my favorite piece of classical music, of all time. It's just so beautiful and full of awesome scripture quotations, I could listen to it for many hours. I was very blessed by your review, as I am by your fellowship.
Love and prayers,

Mary Kay,
You did an exceptional job in penning this beautiful sonnet for the No Rules Poetry writing prompt.
The rhyming is excellent throughout, with a very smooth flow.
Your love sonnet to the Lord reflects your praise, faith, and trust in our Lord and Savior.
The chapter Isaiah 53:1-12 touches ones' heart and shows how Christ, a man without sin, suffered and died for all. I always tear up when I read this chapter. Thanks for sharing a beautiful poem and the additional blessing of your author's notes. The very best to you in the contest.
Have a blessed week, my friend.
Lots of love and hugs...Portia

Thank you so much, dear Portia, for your heartfelt, loving and beautiful six-star review. I deeply appreciate your warm, personal comments and the fellowship reflected in what you wrote.
Isaiah was truly a visionary prophet, almost as though he was seeing Christ crucified. Hallelujah, what a Savior!
I hope you're having a blessed week, also.
Love and prayers,

A lovely sonnet for our Lord, Jesus Christ. A great paean to Him. Your poem is spiritually healing and well written, with great spiritual imagery and visuals. Loved your artwork.
These stood out:
When fears or doubts arise within,
or troubles swirl on stormy seas;
else battlefields tempt me to sin,
I turn to Christ, the Prince of Peace.
Good luck in the contest.

This is a graceful poem, written about Christ's love and sacrifice. Like you, I can't wait to see Christ's face. The rhyme and meter are flawless, unforced.

Comment from Anne Johnston
A well-written sonnet about the Lord Jesus Christ and the love that caused Him to give His life for our redemption. I love that chapter in Isaiah and it certainly is a prophetic description of the Lord. So thankful that I know Him as my Saviour. Great closing lines:
"His Blood alone gives me the grace,
someday to rise, and see His face."
