Lovely poem to the Lord for all He has done and keeps doing for us as we try to live this life with our imperfect selves. He's with us in our "battlefields" and "stormy seas."
Isaiah 53 is a great reference to share. Handel used so many of these verses in his oratorio, the Messiah!

The rhyming is excellent throughout, with a very smooth flow.

Your love sonnet to the Lord reflects your praise, faith, and trust in our Lord and Savior.

The chapter Isaiah 53:1-12 touches ones' heart and shows how Christ, a man without sin, suffered and died for all. I always tear up when I read this chapter. Thanks for sharing a beautiful poem and the additional blessing of your author's notes. The very best to you in the contest.

A well-written sonnet about the Lord Jesus Christ and the love that caused Him to give His life for our redemption. I love that chapter in Isaiah and it certainly is a prophetic description of the Lord. So thankful that I know Him as my Saviour. Great closing lines:
"His Blood alone gives me the grace,
someday to rise, and see His face."
