You certainly left us with a cliff hanger. I can only imagine some horrible thing happening to Phyllis' Jenny. I am really anxious to know what has happened. I would love to see this play acted out, but you're descrbing every movement so well, I almost feel as though I am seeing it.

Thank you, Beth, for your lovely comments and, of course, the shiny stars, with the capper of a chartreuse cross! You're welcome to my theater anytime!

This scene has turned the story into a mystery Jay. You've done a great job of addressing all of the feelings in the room, helping us to understand these women better. But now, we wait. Well done.

I'm glad you enjoyed this, Judy. Yes, as it worked out, this was more an exploration of two parent's mixed messages and tangled feelings. Thanks for reading and for the lovely stars.

I don't know at what point I stopped breathing, but I couldn't hold it any longer. What a chapter you've given us today, Jay. You wait two weeks before the feed us with more amazing revelations and then go and finish it with this!! How can you expect us to wait two weeks????? That was such incredible writing, I just hope that Jennie isn't dead! Well done, my friend, amazing!! :)) Sandra xxx

Mums the word, Dear Sandra! Could it be the Jayster is trying a twist on the old Romeo and Juliet theme? Huhhhhhh? Thank you, as usual, for your loyal reading of this play, your kind words, and the gorgeous chartreuse Cross.

Another well-written and enthralling scene in this fascinating story. I can barely hold my eyes open (it is 2:45 a.m.) but once I started reading, it was impossible to stop. Now I hope it won't be too long before I can read the next installment and learn what Mr. Maneses told Phyllis. I can't even guess! This is excellent writing. I'm totally hooked. MM

What a delightful compliment, MissMerri. Thank you so much for your kindness and, of course, for the six lovely stars!

Great. Cornie can finally look at people straight in the eye and say, "How are you?"
What a progress! Thanks to Cililla. But I'm not sure what has happened to Jennie. From what happens to Phyllis, I think something bad has happened.
You did a great job with realistic dialogues and detail movement. The characters are a little comical.
Well done.

And you were the one asking me to offer something lighter in this play. Sorry, Lisa. And then this! Thanks for continuing to follow.

Intense interaction--brilliantly rendered--spot-on for the circumstances--this will make for a blockbuster performance--please give us the next ASAP!

Thank you, Liz. I always appreciate your energy. The next (and near the last) won't be for 2 weeks. It takes me that long to dig up the bucks for promotion.

Oh, you stinker...make me wait until next Sunday--will you? But I've got to say that the ending dialogue was brilliant. You are really good Jay and lucky...I've got one six left. :))
contorting his body to look at the same painting. [great visual detail.]
(Her body slumps over onto TOLOACHE'S shoulder, and the receiver drops from her hand and settles between her and the arm of the couch) [another awesome visual]

You made my day, Amahra. Thank you so much for the six stars. Oh, I'm gonna hear about that ending, but, mum's the word!
