Yes, dearest Sally. One of my favorite duos, I laughed, cried, reminisced, loved and despaired, through many of their songs, over and over again.
Yes, nobody sounded like them, and never will. Art, with his pure voice, light as a bird, went on to other solo hits..including two of my all time favorites; Bright Eyes ( from the movie) and Only Have Eyes For You.
Paul Simon went on to many other contemporary hits in his usual style. ' Mother and Child Reunion' one of my favorites.
Nicely interesting Sally. Love going back in time with you.

Your two songs are great to remind you, and us, of the thoughts and feelings of home. Simon and Garfunkel were a great group with a sound that was unique. Their voices blended perfectly. They were very talented and gave the world many awesome songs. While I'm not familiar with the second artist, I did listen and enjoy his recording. He is a talent, too. This theme reminds me of John Denver's 'Country Roads.'

Your two songs are great to remind you, and us, of the thoughts and feelings of home. Simon and Garfunkel were a great group with a sound that was unique. Their voices blended perfectly. Three years ago, I returned to my family home, and it was in serious need of a remodel... I spent one-year rebuilding. My husband and I shared it, and our best memories are here where he took his last breath. Home gives us peace and solitude. Home remembers the love that lived here. Home is where I will stay until my final breath. I loved the songs you chose...the words were perfect.
