Beautifully written Sally, you're right about the way to a man's is via the oesophageal tunnel. Our grandson after dropping hi off and picking him up again from summer camp, at grand old age of eight, announced he really like this girl who shared her lunch with her, when Nick And Bec, left New York, to return to Australia, there were many saddened girls left crying over him. This is right up my alley. I am a baker, and learned the way you did..through trial and error. But oh do I love the aroma in the kitchen when something loving is in the oven.
You could steal anyone's heart with something so sweet and homemade. I embraced this art of creating cakes, cookies and pastries from my mom. It has been a delicate operation, but now I'm sharing these recipes in a book called "Sweet Sensations." What a fun read.

What a delightful read. I could write some funny stories about the cakes in my life. They do take time. The worst story is when my dad washed his hands into the icing that I was cooling in the sink. Midnight, and I went searching the town for ingredients. I still would be a great contestant on "Nailed It."
I am saving the recipe for the icing. It sounds good.
