This looks like a poetry from that takes a lot of concentration and skill. You have done it well, it is easy to read, with vivid descriptions of the fox and her surroundings. Nice picture to illustreate.

Exquisitely written, Yvonne, with creativity and clever rhymes. You did a very good job on a complicated form and led us along on a journey of survival. This form is new to me and seems like it requires a lot of concentration to get it right... which you did. So well done.

Melissa

I dearly loved the picture of the fox, damommy. Nice rhyme noted. Your words captured the many qualities of an animal that the people tend to forget about. The fact that she has four kits to feed and she brings more than enough back. Well done and greatly enjoyed.

This is not about hunting foxes but foxes hunting. Fox is a vixen and her home (in America) would be referred to as a 'den' rather than a 'nest'. In Britain it would be referred to as an 'earth'.

I kept thinking that one could do something with punctuation to make the refrain more than just a repeated phrase. Perhaps the first time the phrase could refer back to the previous passage and the second time, on to the last line, kind of stitching the two parts of the stanza together while still keeping them separate.

You've given me something to think about. I like your suggestion. I know the fox's lair is a den, but with babies in it, "nest" seemed to be called for. Thanks for reviewing.

FanStory fantastic offering. I love to watch the little foxes hunt. They are such masters at it. A fun form I've never seen. It bounces. Sending you my best today as always and best wishes for the challenge,
