You are very right. We too have our share of these doomsayers, liars, political opportunists all rolled into one, in my country. They spread fake news, no thanks to the horrid social media platforms, and get away with it. Despite a law exists to discourage such loud-mouths under the National Emergency Act, Iam yet to see a single guy being hauled up. I think we don't deserve democracy. A lot of rubbish gets thrown around in the guise of freedom of speech. Thanks for sharing an interesting write. Cheers!

I do not know if you can strictly say that. Several people I know personally have had some crazy reactions and I can see - with weird underlying conditions- that it could happen. I mean, it is like saying you cannot be struck by lightning. It happens. But it is raaarreee.

You cannot believe how many people are scared into being anti-vaxers and those hoax-maniacs are often not real doctors but I have been told - read this! And Dr. So&So says this - and that doctor was either a veterinarian, PhD of sports equipment, or one that the board has kicked out!

This is a real problem here in Australia, too. So much fake news, especially on social media. The net result is that around 30% of the population are now hesitant about being vaccinated. Unless that changes, we'll soon be in the same position as the rest of the world. We can't keep the virus out indefinitely.
