I love it when we get back to Heather and Tommy, it's like coming home. It's so nice to know they remembered Allen, but then, most country folk do remember most people they meet even after a spell apart. How is he going to approach the subject of them having a half-German nephew? That will take some doing. Now I have to wait another week! Well done, my friend, your story keeps getting better and better. :)) Sandra xxx

Many thanks for the splendid comments in this lovely, six star review. I think you might have to wait a bit longer Allen will show his hand. He is a wily bird.

It is always interesting when you see people again after so many years. I think I would have made more of the reminiscing, but I appreciated the descripton of the differences - what few there are. I was indeed interested to see the arrival of electricity and the telephone, while kitchen implements remained unchanged.
SPAG:
the place was more closely resembled some exotic theatrical set > the place more closely resembled some exotic theatrical set

Thank you for these helpful comments, striking the balance between moving the plot on and making the current scene come alive is always a bit of a tight-rope walk. Thank you for picking up that spag. It has been eliminated.

I am looking forward to finding out exactly why Mr. Allen is visiting the Jolliffe Farm. I am sure it has to do with Tom Warburton but the exact reason escapes me. I am sure I will find out in the next post.

I really enjoy this story wherever you choose to take it. It seems as much as we've read about Jericho farm, this is the first time we've gotten a good look at the hallway. I looking forward to finding out how the family will take the news of Tom having a son that was in the German army or air force.

I think that is probably the classified bit that Allen will not be releasing just yet. Many thanks for this kind review.
