I'm so sorry on the loss of your second son, Michael... I hope when we pass, we will have some understanding of God's reasons, for surely I'd be questioning why--it is a parent's grief! Sounds like that third pregnancy was both a challenge and an answer to your prayers! We women don't know from one birth to the next what labor and delivery will be like...we only know we'll fight to give our baby the best chance at life!--My son's name is Michael, my Nephew is Johnny, and my grandson is Matthew...
Nice names! (Bless you for sharing...)---Karenina

Awesome - see, we were destined to be friends! I don't share this a lot, but my four-year-old son told his daddy only moments before he disappeared that he wasn't going home, but see Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Peter Pan, and Jesus. I think he knew! Others will say I am crazy. It doesn't matter to me - I know he is safe in Heaven. Smiles to you!

As an RN for thirty-five years I am a firm believer, not only in Jesus, but in the fact that children have an uncanny sense. God sends angels to ease their way... No, you're not crazy at all! God bless his sweet soul!--Karenina

It's amazing that as different as we all are and the variations of our paths, it's even more bewildering how similar us and our lives really are. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, I so agree with your thoughts. Thank you for reading and for commenting especially since this isn't really a guy's story, but you endured and read it. Outstanding! Thanks my dear friend. Smiles to you! Carol

Congrats on your well deserved win! (review updated)
Heart-wrenching. I recall you wrote on this topic before. It never fails to amaze me that one can suffer mutliple tragedies and maintain faith in God. (Is your first son alive? Is Matthew well?) Fine work!

Hi there! Yes. Johnny is a very special child, and he lives with me. God had a purpose. He might be mentally challenged, but without him, I would not be able to live in the country house alone. He is my strength. He loves everyone and has a heart of gold. As for Matthew - he is about to start filming his second movie. He's a scriptwriter, director, and producer. (a little like his mom). He just sold his first movie to a huge production company. I am blessed!

This is another great story. Delivery doesn't always go smoothly, but mothers are willing to risk ones that might not turn out well. I'm glad you were about to give birth to that last one. I lost one child at two months. All my deliveries were long but the babies were born healthy.

This is such a gripping story about your children. It is a testament of faith that you have persevered and still feel blessed. The untold suffering is quite evident in this well-written rendering of your journey. Bless you. I see where your pen name comes from 'Begin Again.'

You certainly did go through a lot of struggles to create the family you wanted. I'm so happy for you that your faith got you through it all, including the next one!

Thank you for sharing your story with us. You certainly faced some trying times, but I am glad that you had faith and trust in God, and for the miracles He performed for you. Psalm 23 is such a comfort when we are going through difficult times. May the Lord continue to bless you and give you strength.

I'm in tears, Carol. What a traumatic few years you had. I'm so sorry you lost your little angel, but he'll be waiting for you. Your third little boy, now a man, I'm so happy for you that he survived and thrived. What happened to your first born, Johnny? Your stories are always so compelling, and this one was a mixture of great sadness, and happiness. Well done, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Life has definitely been a bumpy road, but I've been blessed as well. Johnny lives with me. We depend on each other; especially as my body has become my enemy. LOL From a baby that most gave up on to the son I lean on for strength. His mentality fluctuates between a 7 year old and a teenager, depending on the situation. His strength is undeniable, but his heart says the most about Johnny. He loves everyone. I'll have to write more stories about my special son. Thanks for asking. Have a great day, my friend. Smiles and only good thoughts for you! Carol

Aw, I'm so pleased he's alright. I think those children who are born a little different are the special children sent from God to be with a special mum. :) xxx

Without him to help me around the house, I probably wouldn't be able to do it. God had his purpose for keeping him with me.
