Great sing song rhythm to this, nice upbeat music. I liked how your poem conjured up this magical feel to the season, turning ears of corn into divining rods, pumpkins into gryphon eggs, and moonbeams into snow. It demonstrates what imagination can do. estory

I would use Griffin if I were you, it's a more familiar spelling. But beautifully written the language is the tongue of the poet, and a most enjoyable way of presenting a great work. Written in rhymed aabbcc sestets and tetrametric stanzas, well done, blessings Roy

Guess I'm just a bit old-fashioned, Roy -- I'm gonna stick with 'gryphon' (wink, wink), but thanx for the heads up! ;) And I'm so very glad that you took me up on my little invitation to magical adventures - Thank You!! Here's sending you a few extra smiles for the weekend!

This is a wonderful poems for kids who love words and adventure and odd and funny characters. I was such a child.
You've done such a good job.
I espeically like the next to last stanza.
"Open your arms and lay on your back;
soak in those beams from head to toe
When clothes are full they'll let you know!"
The visual of laying on your back...is great.
kids like to be given directions to follow on the way to fun...like a magical game that will bring a surprise.
I found your work enchanting.

A very well-written children's rhyming poem about preparing for the winter season and the snow where the children likes to play. The best part is the pumpkins that are ready for pies.

I love this lighthearted rhyming poem for children. You did a great job keeping light and fun. I like the "magic chief" and "moonbeam" to make it truly magical for children.
Well done.

Oh! I loved this so much! Thank you for the fun fantasy journey :)
Being a big fan of fantasy and good rhyming, I'm gonna give you a 6-star.
Just a suggestion. Maybe change the font a bit, or change the italics. It's a bit difficult to read.

This is a wonderful little poem to celebrate the autumn and winter coming up. I love the idea of soaking up moonbeams, then snuggling in for the snowy weather... with a fire ..and stories.
Have a whimsical weekend,

I am not a poet. I have recently joined this site and am amazed to see so many forms of poems. I enjoyed reading this wonderfully written children's poem. It rhymes well and tells a charming story. Children remind us of the simple things in life we have to learn and enjoy. Good luck!
