It was lovely to see your name in my messages again, Yvonne, I've been thinking of you every day. It doesn't matter what you write, but it does matter that you are writing, and yes, John would highly approve. It can take you far away from the every day thoughts and feelings. I'm sure God is being bombarded with prayers to help you through this. :)
I have never seen this style before, let alone heard of it. It is perferct for the theme you've written about. I love the idea of the two Mockingbirds eating lunch in their nest as they shelter from the rain. That is so romantic! Beautifully done, my friend. Sending loads of warm hugs and lots of love. :) Sandra xxxx

Thank you, Sandra. You always know just the right thing to say. I appreciate the prayers. They have sustained me through this. I hope no one ever has to go through this kind of pain. I'm glad you like the poem.

A fine nature write filled with wonderful imagery and I have never had the privilege to see these wonderful birds, although I have seen videos. Your poem is uplifting and positive and much enjoyed. I am so sorry for your loss and my prayers are with you at this tragic time, love Dolly x

Thank you for the prayers and love. It means a lot. I'm glad you like the poem, and I'm sorry you don't have mockingbirds where you are. They are quite something.

First off I want to send you healing hugs. I know the pain of losing a child at any age. My son was 32. Hardest thing ever. Know that you are not alone. Second of course, your sweet poem. Personification of the bird's expression of tenderness and the sharing of their lunch. Just lovely. Well-done. Take care, Marcia

Thank you so much. I'm so sorry for your loss. I know that we never get over it. I'm glad you like the poem.
-
You are right, it's not something you 'get over'. Writing about it might help, even if you don't share it. God bless.

First, my condolences about your loss, I can only imagine what you are going through. Welcome back, it us good therapy to write.
A very well-written poem about the mocking birds and how they interact with each other and seem to enjoy their lunch together.

Thank you, Sandra. The love and support of all of you here on FS have meant so much to me. I'm glad you enjoyed the mockingbirds. Do you have them where you live?

It is so good to see you posting again and with your beloved nature as the subject. It does not matter when this was written. What is important is that you should once again poke your head over the parapet.
You don't have to write about your grief. Get up early and write about the sunrise and who knows, perhaps it will.

Oh, Jim, you always boost me up. Thank you so much. How are Penny and Paddy? How all of you are well.
-
Yes, both my darlings are doing well. Penny is back playing with her ball with great enthusiasm, completely recovered from her surgery, and Paddy accompanies us on our walks while keeping suitable aloof from the furious activity of ball chasing. It is simply something we felines do not do.
They both send their love and hope you will will be feeling happier soon and able to write once again, as do I.

I'm so happy that you're back, Yvonne! Thank you!
Loved your Amanda Pinch poem about this romantic lunch (sheltered from the rain in their nest) between Mr. and Mrs. Mockingbird.

Thank you for the awesome review. Thank you especially for the prayers. I am sorely in need of them.
-
You are very welcome, and they will keep coming your way. We have all missed you and have had you in our thoughts. I hope FS brings you some comfort.
-
Thank you so much for your caring and concern.
-
You are very welcome.
-
I just thought of something. You don't have to review it, but it might cheer you up. My previous post was a story in a poem, called "Sammy the Sloth." I did it for someone I briefly explained in the notes.
-
I'll look at it.

Thank you so much for that.

This seems to be a challenging format that you have mastered. I really like this piece about the mockngbird wooing his lady and then sharing his tidbits with her in the nest, sheltering from the rain. I sincerely hope you find some solace and comfort while sheltering now from the loss of your son. Please keep in touch and keep posting...

This is such a lovely, vividly descriptive poem about a sweet scene in nature. The style of the poem is very appealing. You and your family are in my prayers.
