This is lovely and heartfelt. It's so hard when we lose someone, but it's the hope that we will see them again that keeps us going. This is a beautifully written piece, thanks for sharing.

Thank you. It was hard to write, knowing the pain Yvonne must be suffering. Warm hugs, Sandra

What a lovely comforting prayer/poem. Grief is hard to bear. 'Tis easy to see how grounded you are and how deep your belief is. What an inspiration and encouragement to all your readers!

Your sonnet is excellent in every respect. It is a beautiful, gentle expression of compassionate sympathy. It is also skillfully-written and vividly descriptive. Powerful

A very well written poem to comfort a grieving friend. Your words are soft but true. All the memories that are left behind for her to think of a happier time. I guess this is why we make memories. Good job!

So very, very hard, what Miss Yvonne
must be going through.
God bless her and the family.
This is such a beautiful, true
poem you have written for her.
I know that even if not now...
one day it will touch her heart.
Blessings...

This is a beautiful poem for Yvonne, Sandra. Your words are meaningful, they flow smoothly, and contain a heartfelt message of love from you. The image is a perfect pairing, too. I know Yvonne will treasure this.
Respectfully, Jan

Thank you, Jan. I wish we weren't writing these poems, and that Yvonne still had her son with her. I do hope all our prayers and poems will help her through. Thank you for those stars, my friend. Warm hugs. Sandra xx

This is such an empathetic and compassionate poem! Yes, God deeply understands our loss, our questions, even our anger -- for he, too, lost a Son. So did my mother, when my brother died. It's a grievous thing when a parent outlives a child. I continue to remember Yvonne in my prayers and I am deeply touched at the outpouring of love reflected in all of the prayer poems written.
Your image is also very touching.
This stanza is especially beautiful:
"When you search through unanswered mysteries,
And sadness serves to create moistened eyes,
Though gone, he's gifted you sweet memories,
That one day will provide a bright sunrise."
Thank you for posting this. â?¤

I'm afraid I don't know Yvonne, but it's not hard to infer that she lost her husband. I really feel for anyone who has lost a loved one. I know how painful it is. I'm sure she appreciates your prayer.
