Yes, this is an interesting story, quite unusual. I did like it but struggled with all the characters, it got me quite confused. I kept forgetting who was who, maybe partly my fault . Good luck.

If you want to you can catch up by going to my portfolio to read the other chapters. You slowly get acquainted with the characters. It is not necessary to write reviews, just enjoy. The character list is in the Author's notes. Thank you for your interested review.

This is another good installment of your book. It is interesting and your character development has made the girls more real. I love the help they have received from their animal guides.

I must admit Liz, that I had to read this a few times for understanding, and went back to read "Water" to fill in some blanks, as I missed the first part. But having said that, this has been a most enjoyable read, and I look forward to more. It was easy to get confused by all the different characters, but your development of them is terrific --I find it intriguing to learn the spirituality of the women with every part of nature, and you have a real knack for keeping the tension high as they make their escape. you have obviously put a lot of effort into your background research of the Crow culture, and it serves your storytelling very well.
All the Best!

Thank you for the effort you've put into following the story in the review.. Did you see the character list is in the author's notes. I'm wondering if they should be in the first part of the whole story. I was afraid it would discourage people diving into the story.

I think the list is good where you have it Liz. I think it was just that so many of them were mentioned all at once that it was a little difficult to follow at first. But a quick re-read was all it took to understand and of course we are more used to identifying characters with traditional Christian names I guess. Take care!

This has a good narrative taletelling, skimmed plot developed to a unified thematic maturation, fostered by realistic and contributory dialogues, characters seem real; good beginning, resolved ending; well said, well done, thanks for sharing this. ALCREATOR

This story continues to propel forward at a steady pace. Hopefully the girls will find the exit point and be able to return home.

The prayer scenes to the spirits truly defined their recent experiences. It showed the readers how recent events how they felt, how they changed, and what concerns them now.

This is so interesting and well done. I have always liked to read about the Native Americans. Your illustration is lovely and pairs perfectly. This is nicely done.
