I love this lyrical write, so whimsically describing the change of seasons. The title is perfectly fitting and your presentation artwork, perfect. Well done. Good luck in the contest with this winner :)

This is a lovely entry for the minute contest. Your illustration of the wind vane sets the mood for your words. I really like your opening line, I hear the wind, its cleansing breath."

Well there we go again, another type of poetry. I am getting dizzy with all the different forms. Okay back to your poem. I enjoyed it very much and right away I found you cadence. Good luck and I want yo to know I am trying very hard to not be confused.

Many thanks for your review and observations, Becky. The wide variety of poetic forms can be a bit overwhelming, can't it? Best just to concentrate on the rhythms of your own heart. All good wishes, Tony
Comment from Susan X Smith
The rhythm of this poem is not the typical kind. I liked the way the rhymes worked with the unusual rhythm. The poem has a light and breezy feel to it. I enjoyed reading it.

A really great lyrical poem in the romantic style, with this wonderful image of Persephone bringing spring back to the winter landscape. Winter's tree, that's a great, original image. It really conjures that memory of the tree without its leaves, covered in snow, sleeping through the dark time of the year, waiting to come back to life. estory

Ah, the winter winds wane and give life to the warmth and new birth of spring. Winter is a depressing time, especially during the virus. Spring gives us hope of a new cycle of life in every way. We should be thankful. Well done my friend K xx

This is a very powerful spiritual poem you wrote here. Using the wind as an analogy that applies to us all. Persephone is the Greek goddess right? I actually forgot about her

Hi Tony, you've penned a good minute poem that tells the tale of the changing seasons well. Excellent smooth meter and good end rhymes as well. I wish you well in the contest.
