At first, I have to admit, I was put off by the picture but..Your Words speak the truth about those of us who write. We do write from the heart for sure.

I enjoyed this poem. I'eve heard before that writers "bleed for their art." Yes, sometimes in these contests, it's all laid out there, and some don't see or appreciate your sensitivity. Kind of like poking yourself in the eye. Good luck with the contest. And the image is right on target.

Yikes! That's an attention-getting graphic, so you have covered the "impact" part of the contest brief, and your words are "concise", so it seems you have the bases covered. Thanks for sparing us the image of "spilling your guts" which your words imply.
