Excellent poem, June. Nice couplet! I remember being away from home and being homesick. Then getting leave or vacation for home and arriving outside our city, where peace and quiet was usually the norm.
Your poem is magical and captures the feeling of being homesick. From what I've read of this book, the entries are amazing.

I think your poem says a lot about the feeling of leaving home four a long time or when a loved one leaves for a long time. And that the flicker that grows brighter as you get closer to home. I wish you luck with your Renga and book.
