Even though your poem was short, you have captured the elements of creativity excellently. Especially the beckoning of fantasy ideas entering your mind! A great poem.

What a nice poem that expressed the writing process visually and figuratively. I really like the chosen art piece as well. You are a very good poet.
I'm not allowed to give 6 stars. Otherwise I would.
I have entered mine for chapter 45 and everyone seems to light it. Will we get a hard copy when the book is done with 184 chapters?

Thank you so very much, Lisa -- good to hear from you again... and, no, no hardcopy: your input is for posterity and your fingers keyboard perusals... LOL! :) :) I'm really glad you enjoyed this one... with 'downsizing', classes starting, and trying to get my two boys back to school this week, things are nuts!! ;) Take care and stop by anytime! ;) Yvette

Yvette,
Another excellent segment added to this renga effort. To give it the break you meant, I would add some punctuation mark after ... pen awakens

You are so right. When something comes into the mind, all of the sudden you can get it down on paper with hardly a mistake. Then editing becomes a joy.

Hi Yvette, this is surely true and you have written it fantastically to emphasize this, a good one to remember, and shame it's not in a competition. Cheers Colin x

I like the picture choice, Yvette, it brings to mind the creation of fantasy. I also like the concept of the renga book. Your words capture the need and desire for a poet to write, to create. Very well done.

This is a great short piece about finding inspiration as a writer. I don't really consider myself a poet, but I dabble. Great work on this and thanks for sharing. Later daze.

-Great artwork and
presentation, Yvette.
-A well written poem
to add to Gypsy's book.
-Good syllable count,
topic, and imagery.
-I also l like the personification
in the poem and the concluding line, too.

A very well-written 5-7-5 in addition to the multi-author Renga book that develops into quite an amazing story from the beginning with many turns it take to lead to an unexpected ending.
