I've changed that around, thank you, Liz! And a huge thank you for your lovely review and six stars! That is so kind of you. It took longer to do this one because there was so much amazing information about these little dears, lol. I had to be quite picky in choosing what I would take on. I'm so pleased my effort paid off. Thank you so very much, my friend. Have a lovely day. :)) Sandra xx

This is a charming little poem which should work well to capture the imagination of a young mind. It might also stimulate a child to learn more about other creatures.

Hello Sandra.
Walt Whitman and Mary Howitt will be very happy to see your addition to the spider poetry anthology. I doubt either of them knew a spider was an animal.
If they didn't eat so many insects, they'd have little to recommend them.
I think I'll ship several to Antarctica, just to cause trouble.
Love your little spidery poem, as in voting, the eyes have it.
I think you should change the designation of your book to an encyclopedia
of creepy, crawly media.
Great addition to the book!
Best wishes and be safe.

I was thinking of moving to Antartica!!! LOL. Good morning, Robert, thank you so much for another of your lovely reviews and the six stars. Spiders are my least favourite creatures, but I could only think of those and snakes and I hate snakes more.
I love your little quip, 'the eyes have it!' lol. I'm not sure my little poem would be accepted in an anthology, but it's a nice thought. Thank you again, my friend, your review is a nice start to my day. Big hugs! :)) Sandra xxx

Hi Sandra, more well documented pages for your book. Again there are facts that I didn't know. The daddy long legs spider sounds like a horror. I remember when we were in Australia red backs were the most common spider in Perth. We had to be careful all the time. Harmless garden spiders about four inches across hung from webs suspended between trees and bushes their bodies about one point five inches across as I remember.
Your poem reads well and I'm sure will captivate Eric and most children.
Keep well. ~Mel~ xx

Hello Mel, thank you so much for this lovely review. My long-lasting memory of the daddy long legs, was when I pulled some ivy off the garden wall. The wall seemed to move as millions of tiny daddy long leg babies shot off in all directions and me shooting off indoors. My heart didn't settle down for ages! I never took on that garden job again.
Thank you, Mel, for this lovely review, and for sharing about the red back spiders in Australia. We all have them. Thanks again, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Dear Gert, thank you so very much for your wonderful review and all those stars! That was so kind of you. I think spiders are one of those creatures most people aren't interested in. Doing this research opened my eyes about many things I didn't know about them. Thank you for reading this one, my friend, I'm really happy you did. Sending you a big hug. :)) Sandra xxx

I enjoyed reading this creative expression of information about spiders. I learned several new facts about different types of spiders. That is really amazing about the strength of certain spiderwebs. Bill

Their strength is truly amazing, Bill, and it's a shame our scientists haven't yet found a way to replicate it. What we could do with something like that! Thank you so much for your lovely review, my friend. I really appreciated it. :) Sandra xx

Again, I tried to figure out what animal you would use for the letter 's'. I would never have guessed a spider in a million years, but it worked wonderfully. They are fantastic animals and you did a good job describing them.

Thank you so much, Barbara, for all those stars, and the lovely review. It was spiders or snakes, I hate snakes, so spiders won! Lol. I'm glad you enjoyed reading about them. Big hugs my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

I'm glad I'm not the type who gets the willies from seeing all those fuzzy little creatures with so many legs. Otherwise, after seeing all these I might feel them everywhere next time I turn out the lights. LOL. Thanks for sharing another fine chapter.

There has not been many reviewers who can say that, lol, more were scared of them than not. I'm not the biggest fan, but the other S was snakes, and I do not like those at all!! Thank you, Ric, for your lovely review, I really appreciated it. Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Yikes, Sandra, what am I to say? I hate spiders - period. I read your wonderful essay, but at times I almost closed the whole thing wanting to run away. I'm in denial, I admit it. I know how good they are for this, that and the other, but no thank you. Did you know we have one here in Spain, which gives a nasty bite and a horrible infection? As much as I love this lovely series, I simply hate this one!! Three times yikes.!!!
It's very well written and certainly worth the six stars. Big hugs. Ulla xxx

I laughed my socks off reading your review, it was so funny! You aren't the only one to tell me this, and I'm not the spider's biggest fan either! But it was those, or snakes, and I hate snakes more. I know there was a caterpillar that live in the pine trees, they put webs around themselves, like spiders do to their prey, and were very poisonous. You have to burn the web to get rid of them. We had them in our garden when we lived in Spain, I hated them. Thank you for the six stars, that was really kind of you seeing as how you hate spiders so much. I will cherish those stars even more. Big hugs back, my dear friend. :)) Sandra xx

I'm still itching all over. Granted, like you, I don't like snakes either and as we both know, we have plenty of those here in Spain. I can't win, can I?
By the way, did I tell you how lovely your poem was? I don't think so. But here it is. I love this book of yours xx
-
Aww, thank you! :))
We had a huge snake come into our garden with a large dead rabbit in it's mouth. I could have run in the Olympics the speed I attained getting running up to my house and slamming the door!! I don't miss those at all! :)) xx

I can just imagine it!!! Hehe

This was totally amazing, Sandra. I knew a lot about spiders but definitely not as much as your research showed. But I did know about the webs being used to slow down bleeding, as gross as it sounds. I watched the video and was amazed at the different species. Generally, when a spider comes indoors I just scoop it up (sorry I can't tell the different genders and don't want to) and put it outside. Unless it is a recluse or black widow but I have been known to try to steer it outside. I was glad that you explained the difference. It was a touchy topic but you did it well. Great pictures and a thank you to Graham. Blessings and a hug and smile. Alie

What a lovely review, Alie, thank you so very much. It did take me longer to research this one, because there are so many of them. But, I had to be very picky and chose what I thought were the most interesting of them. I'm glad you watched the video, there are some really pretty spiders which really surprised me, I don't know why the nature programs don't show them, it would take away some of the fear and dislike some people have. Thank you again, my friend, I really appreciated your review, and Graham gave a big smile and said, thank you, too. Big hugs, Sandra xxxx

You are most welcome Sandra, I really enjoyed it, normally I dislike spiders, other bugs and snakes, but this was so informative. I learned a lot. I agree with you that the nature programs should show something on spiders. Hugs, smiles and blessings, Alie.
