A crook through and through feeling cornered by the police officer for...nothing of his stolen things, just to ask for a donation! Well, the nerve to think of giving a false hundred dollar and asking for change! He really is a bad guy.
Very funny flash fiction! I liked it.

Hello Bhogg,
This is a marvelous flash fiction for the contest with some good humor
throughout the story.
The ending looked like it was going to sputter, but the last line came through perfectly.
Great picture of Jack Webb (hat and all) from Dragnet or one of the others shows.
This show do well in the contest.
Best wishes.
Robert

Ah, that's one brazen master criminal. And, I didn't know Porsche made anything vanilla! Nice style--a little Elmore Leonard, a little Raymond Chandler.
Funny, I'd get nervous if I saw a cop on my doorstep, too. And I drive a Volvo station wagon.
Best of luck, Bill.
Peace, Lee

Well of course you'd feel nervous...You have things to hide. The Volvo station wagon is a dead giveaway!

Your ending made me laugh out loud. The guy inside thought he might be getting arrested, and all it was -
"...I'm just collecting for the Policeman's Benevolent Society. Can we count on you for a donation?"
lol. This is hilarious. A very well written story, with a great use of a dialogue, Hitchcock-like suspense and a great descriptive imagery.
I loved it. Thank you for sharing!
