I bet your grandson is getting excited as you are almost at the end of the alphabet. You always have such good and interesting facts about your animals.

Yes, only 8 left to do. It's been fun doing all the research and then writing it in a way everyone, no matter their age, will understand the facts. Thank you so very much for the lovely six stars, Barbara, and your most encouraging review. I do appreciate them both. Have a lovely day, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Excellent work, as usual. Lots of fun facts and interesting information. You might want to look at the second sentence in your Climate Change section. You have "With the warmer weather, the ice is melting and exposing the water." You might consider "the ice melts and exposes the water." Good work Sandra. RH

The poem is great fun, but I enjoyed the detailed information even more. Just the info about reindeer is enough to make a little book. Maybe you could find an illustrator, or enough free to use photos to use in a book. Make it easy to read, and I think you have a winner.

Another great story and so very interesting. I look forward to buying a copy when it is published.
I do have a couple of suggestions for your opening poem. In the second line, "The Reindeer lives in Arctic parts of Earth, where it's so cold." I would delete "of Earth" and change "where it's so cold" to "where it is so very cold." Then in the last two lines, "they'll use their sense of smell which can reveal it through the snow." I would change it to "they'll use their sense of smell which reveal's it through the snow."
Look at it and see what you think. I'm not a poet, but these small changes seemed to smooth out the rhythm.
Another great story. Keep up the good work.

Hello, William, thank you so much for this lovely review, and the input for my poem, I immediately changed the first suggestion, that was really excellent, and I'll check out the other one next. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciated that. Thank you. :)) Sandra xxx

-Good artwork, photos, and poem, Sandra.
-A very good overview of reindeer.
-Seeing ultraviolet light is a good feature,
along with all of the things they
can do with their hooves!
-The clicking sound is also a
good feature, a good way to
keep everyone together.
-That would be helpful when
shopping; people wouldn't get lost:)
-On a serious note, it's a shame that
animals are impacted by climate change,
but hopefully efforts to improve things
will continue to make a difference.
-This was a very informative piece,
and I learned a lot about reindeer.
-Now children will know there is more
to reindeer than at Christmas time.
-I think that is a very good thing, too,
to know more about the planet they live on.

What a lovely review, Pam, thank you so much. I was just as surprised to learn all those things, they are amazing animals. Who would have thought they could swim that distance? I'm glad you enjoyed this one, my friend, thank you so much for the six stars. They are most appreciated. :)) Big hugs! Sandra xxx

You are very welcome and deserving of the stars and review, Sandra. It was a very good choice for "R". Now we'll wait to see what "S" will be:)

Sooooo, Rudolph really had his melodic roots in a bit of reality - lol!! ;) :) A great one with lots of facts and a tie in to other hot-button issues like climate-change. :) :) Thanx for sharing, my lady! ;) Yvette

Hello SandraMitchell,
R is for Reindeer: Nice piece in continuation of English Alphabets having lucid as well as perfectly matching the theme wording, enchanting flow throughout from the beginning to the end, and beautifully depicting the Reindeer through verse and prose.
Pictures enhance depth and beauty of the theme.
Interesting and Educative highlighting the writer's great skill!

I would take out nice, you already have tasty. Now scientists are looking into the theory of Rudolph... (Comma not period) to find out whether there is truth behind the story, but so far... Or reword it to your liking obviously. You're missing commas in places I would say it aloud and you will notice. - Another interesting fact is how their hooves expand... Where as in the winter... Don't start paragraph with those. - (animals with solid antlers) what is lichen? This would be a fun fact book for kids, but I would lower the reader age to 6. My son is 5, and I read him animal books much more advanced. With revisions this could be excellent.

Hi Vanna, thank you for this thorough review. I really appreciate the time you took. I'll go through your edits now. Lichen is a type of moss. Its name is actually Reindeer lichen.
Thank you for the age advice, too. I wasn't sure what age to start this at. I think I'll leave the closing age bare, as I think all ages could probably learn something from this. :) Have a nice day. Sandra xx
