Great writing about practicing kindness in the face of opposition. That is great advice for us to encourage each other and support each other in practical ways where possible, including small businesses or even larger businesses that have positive company policies that are respectful to people and of this nation. Most people don't know it because I don't speak of it very often, but I am the CEO of my family's manufacturing business. One of my favorite things to do is to give to others with gifts of kindness. I've had my eyes on the benevolent Goya for a long time. Thank you very much for the wonderful review it and kind comments. Sal :))

Well done Sally. I agree with your sentiments this world is getting so ridiculous when our politicians get their feelings hurt over such stupid things ie: Aunt Jemima, Goya Beans etc it's all nothing more but a waste of time and may in fact be a sadistic strategy of Beelzebub. Thought what you said about living life with kindness and love was very profound especially in this world where people can be so cold and distant to one another . Great work.

You make a point that should be simple and self-evident, but often isn't. I loved your line "If this movement is for something good, why is there so much harm in it?". The recent death of John Lewis highlighted the contrast on what standing up for civil rights used to be like (high-minded, non-violent, aimed at transformative change), and what it often is now (wars, often fought on Facebook and Twitter) by folks who haven't paid their dues aimed at demonizing anyone who doesn't meet their standards for "woke-ness".
And your term "spiteful ugliness" seems tailor made to describe the President's tweets. Where is kindness? Anyway, your real estate mentor seems like a truly fine human being (as do you). Thanks for posting.

Hard to believe that prospective real estate agents need to be told to be nice, although on several occasions I have reported store clerks to the manager for their nasty attitude. Now to think we live in a culture where people are expected to apologize for being nice! I just bought some Goya beans, cookies and coffee. It's the nicest thing I thought I could do!

What is there to comment on your write, Sally? Being nice appears to be forgotten. Everyone is angry at something with this sickness making every single person hide behind a mask. I like Goya products. I love their canned sodas. :) I didn't know they fed nations. Thank you for sharing this knowledge, Sally. Take care of yourself and your loved ones.

Thank you, Jose. I really appreciate the wonderful review. Yes, Goya has sent tons of food shipments to Venezuela. They have also aided Cuba and Puerto Rico after the devistating hurricanes. Goya has a huge benevolent arm. It doesn't surprise me that the evil people of this world attack the righteous. Jesus says if they hated Him, the wicked people of this world will hate us also.
Thanks again, Jose. :)
Sending you my best as always,

I wish everybody could read this and digest it well. This verse, particularly stood out for me: Practice being nice. Imagine that today in a world that seems to be quickly moving away from niceness... human kindness, decency, and civility.
The world is in deep trouble. The only consoling thing is knowing that nothing is surprising the Lord. No matter what humans are doing, good or bad, He is still in control. I long for the day when there will be no more tears. xo --Janet

Thank you, dear Janet. I appreciate the stars and more importantly, standing with me in righteoumess. The CEO of Goya is a fine Christian man and I stand with him and his efforts today. His benevolent actions and gifts have been far reaching. Sending you my best today as always with many thanks,

Thank you for sharing your teacher and coach's advice. I relished his "golden rule for life" about being nice. I knew very little about the Goya controversy as well. Smiles- Joan

Thank you for the kind review and comments, dear Joan. No, the mainstream media doesn't focus on this because it doesn't fit into their hate-the-president narrative. This man showed respect to President Trump and was appreciative to him as a gentleman should be. Because of that, his character and benevolent actions were attacked, and AOC called for a boycott of Goya's products.
Mr. Unanue has donated generously to Venezuela, Cuba, and Puerto Rico. You'll never hear this on main stream news. If we do, it's usually that AOC has brought down Trump one more time and applauded for it. That's a shame because the character and benevolent life of Mr. Unanue is outstanding. His is the life we really need to look at daily and remind ourselves of the good people remaining in the world. I was happy to highlight him and his fine efforts and products.
Sending you my best today as always,
Sally xoxo

What a wonderful stand against boycott rabble rowers like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. You are doing right to stock up with Goya products in a resistance effort!

Thank you very much, Rebecca, for the lovely review and glorious six star rating. It is so appreciated and needed. Yes, Goya is a fine company with outstanding products and the man that leads them all is a Christian. Sending you my best today as always,

Yes, the mobs trying to wipe out our culture by banning, boycotting, renaming, tearing down, and/or outright destroying aspects of it one-by-one across the country certainly are not being "nice"; and the longer we tolerate that misbehavior, the bolder they become and the more damage they do.
Occasio-Cortez is not a "liberal progressive" (as news media call her) because both of those words are intentionally distorted in meaning by the leftists to falsely label themselves as beneficial in policy. The only liberality they have is with OUR money going to THEIR causes, and nothing they say or do represents true progress for our nation. They continually get away with putting false derogative labels on anyone they don't like, so I applaud your putting a TRUE label on a leftist who deserves it by her own publicly verified words and actions. She clearly is an aggressive leftist in the camp of the "Cancel Culture" trying to erase the cultural heritage of our nation, and distorting the language is part of that effort (and straight out of George Orwell's 1984.).
I buy very few prepackaged foods, and will not change that; but I agree Goya is a beneficial enterprise and cares about its employees and customers. Therefore, I'm glad to see the American public rejecting the politically-motivated boycott of Goya and even increasing their sales.
The problem in this world is that too many people think the Golden Rule does not apply to THEIR words and deeds, but only in the opposite direction. WRONG-O! The Golden Rule is NOT a one-way, incoming street.
You made your point well in this fine post.

Thank you, my friend. I appreciate the insightful review of my work. It is so appreciated and needed. Miss Cortez is really a radical, and a politically motivated one at that. She embraces the many core beliefs of socialism. It's hard to believe she's an elected representative of the United States of America. I just had to speak up and I really appreciate your kind exchange.
Sending you my best today as always,
Sal :))

You are welcome, Sal. Those of us who know the truth do need to speak out, so those afraid to do so for fear of retaliation will realize that they are NOT alone and are needed to help vote these dangerous leftists out of office before they alter the system enough to retain power without regard for public opinion. The coming November election will determine whether or not we keep our nation as the land we thought we were born into (or, for many legal immigrants, the land they fled to in order to escape tyranny). Every little step we let the leftist traitors take is more of our freedom lost. Accordingly, your post is important. -- Mike
