Stunning image--yellow desert sand skies--not quite the color I envision but I'll grant your poetic license. (Do you mean desert AND skies?) Cheers. LIZ (multy-author s/b multi-author)

Elisabeth, it is a pity you couldn't see this phenomenon here in Mallorca. In the summer, hot southern winds color the sky completely yellow. It comes with fine, brownish-yellow sand from the Sahara desert in Africa. When it also starts to rain, we have to hurry the laundry inside, because it colors everything, houses, plants, cars, and of course the forgotten white sheets hanging out to dry, in a light brown-yellow color. Thanks for the review!

Marjon--put that superb description/explanation in the footnotes so all can appreciate what is hard to convey in three lines.

This is a great little poem, Marjon. The alliteration of 's' works well. The image is a good pairing with your few syllables that convey a large event. Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

Marjon,
A nice poem.
The image of rippled sun-lit sand, appearing as majestic as the sky is an excellent comparison. I hope you are well where you are. Holland? I'm sorry if I have forgotten.
Excellent 7-7.
Best wishes.
Cindy

Cindy, thank you for your review. I live in Mallorca (spain) for the last 35 years already. You should see the sky here, as it colors completely yellow, when the southern winds carry the yellow sands from the Sahara desert.

Waltzing with the wind through winter skies in the desert. Great medley of S sounds in both lines and consonance of W in line one. A fine addition to our book!

Warmly, rd
