A very well-written haiku and next chapter in the book to complete the renga format which Gipsy Rose started. Each poet add his/her part to complete the whole book.

The berries are still there for the birds as you throw a new haiku onto this blossoming renga. So far, the berries are still growing and the birds moving in.

I had fun going outside early this morning and drinking my coffee while listening to the birds. It's always a fun morning when I can do that, then I come in and was greeted with this lovely poem. Thank you.

Thanks for the review. I see that you are new and are giving a number of 3 star reviews. It's important to learn a little bit about the type of poem you are reviewing. For example, this is a haiku. It never has rhyme, and has specific requirements. As a suggestion for future reviews, you also don't award a low rating just because you don't understand it. If that is the case, move on to something else.

"Colourful Songbirds", is short, succinct and very much to the point. With a minimum of words, this talented poet has told it as it is. I very much look forward to seeing your next post.

This is delightful, Pam. The blackberries will be ripe for picking next month, and then it will be a race to pick them before the birds have them all! Your words are always so well chosen for these short poem, and allows the reader to appreciate them more. The picture is an excellent choice, and the whole make a superb presentation. Well done, my friend!! :)) Sandra

Thanks for the review, Sandra. I appreciate your comments about the birds, berries, picture, and presentation. I imagine it is hard to grow berries and get them before the birds do!
Comment from Gloria ....
The renga collaborative is a terrific idea, and I very enjoy what you've done with your response to June's post.
And for sure there is a bountiful harvest after the rain.
A most enjoyable read today. :)

I loved this poem, it inspired in me, visions of my now deceased mother's embroideries. The colors of the threads she used were always vibrantly bright and cheerful. The image you chose, pairs beautifully with your work, and the images that came to mind as I read.

With each beautiful Spring day come the songbirds to check out the new berries and to congregate as feathered friends. They look so happy chattering among themselves. Well done.
