I guess we all try to do our best. Obviouslyyour kids don't think of these things too too much, so you might as well forgive yourself, but I did my best as well, but as humans are, we are not, but a good thing our kids do, is honour us, and they said they enjoyed their childhood, and that was a major milestone, and the grands like us, beautifully, I think you can be proud of yourself, bless you Gypsy, blessings Roy

I am so glad you sent a copy of this free verse of reminiscences to your three children and they responded with the many good things you did. It is hard to keep perspective and forgive ourselves for our isolated mistakes. Now, it is the time! Hugs- Joan

I only sent it to my son. My girls have gotten the message and don't want to hear it anymore. I kept thinking about my son and he sent me a really nice email. I think that now that he is a father with grown up girls he understands.

Loved your sharing from your mother's heart! It doesn't matter about the bi-polar - every mother regrets something or other. We all feel guilty whether it was something we said or did or didn't do. And some things we did/said just because of the pre-programming of parenting that we inherited.
