Oh dear, a lot is happening here. Two baby's at a trot and one may not be quite so strong. I hope she'll make it. It's a great chapter and so well written and at a great pace, as well. Ulla:)))

This is an exciting chapter. The events covered are great and written well.
I especially liked the part about the birth of the twins on Christmas morning. The cliffhanger about the baby girl being in an incubator was poignant--hope she makes it. The poem is super!

Cathy and Bill, this is an excellent chapter. There is great flow and descriptive wording in everything. I can visualize all as I read it. This is one of the best, if not the best, chapters in the novel. Readers have so much to read, enjoy, and think about. It is written with the sense of life and death both in Viet Nam and at home. All of the events keep readers interest from start to finish.
The beginning grabs the attention of readers and the rest follows--never letting up in intensity. The description of the babies' arrival is done well. I thought they all would make it to the hospital in time. Not doing so is a great twist. The conversation between Grandma and Grandpa during this time is realistic and perfect. Grandma seems calm about it all--but then she is a woman who has had babies. Her attitude is welcome to Cathy to help her deal with the experience. Grandpa thinks he will not know what to do, but living on a farm, he has helped his livestock when they give birth. I love the way the Smoky Mountain dialect is present throughout the chapter. It gives a real sense of place and the characters personalities.
Another twist is the birth of twins. What a special event. I love the way the babies arrive on Christmas morning. What a blessing. The title ties in perfectly with their births. What a Christmas to remember!
On the warfront, you include events that tug at readers' hearts. The 'Road Trip' with Bob Hope is great. The spirits of the soldiers surely lift with a 'piece of home.' However, we feel the sadness and longing Bill has about being away from his home and Cathy. His dream is well written to be able to see what he is thinking. The line about 'from my soul, through my heart, and by my pen' is exceptional along with the exceptional poem he wrote. His poem is AWESOME. The words are meaningful, the rhymes perfect, and the flow super. The message is strong, too. It shows how love can, and does, change people when they are truly committed to each other.
Bill's telephone call back reveals much about his personality and how much he loves Cathy. The way he finds about needing to call is filled with great details, as is what he learns about the babies. Wow! What a cliffhanger not knowing if the baby girl will survive! Readers can feel the impact of what he learns from the call. They are right there with him.
The attached videos are great to include as they add info to the story about the 'Road Show' and the song Bill is hearing in his mind. Your cover and presentation is EXCEPTIONAL. Thanks for sharing and hurry with the next chapter.

Once again, you left us with a horrible hook. We need to make sure that baby girl makes it through this and Bill makes it in time to help Cathy. You have us on pins and needles. Great writing.

Hello Cathy and Bill,
Nice piece of Romance Fiction in continuation having captivating flow throughout from the beginning to the end with lively images at some places, and beautifully depicting the scenes related to the birth of Cathy's twins- a baby boy and a baby girl.
The next chapter will show whether little baby girl will survive or not. It's a good hint about the next chapter.
The poem is also noteworthy.
