What a lovely heart wrenching poem beseeching God in behalf of your sister. All who read this will pray with you in this matter. He will give you strength to bear this burden.

This is so sad. You have all my sympathy in this your time of trials. We can pray for a gentle ending, and yet it seems that such a prayer is not heard or is ignored. Yet theologists tell us that God never sends trials that are too hard for us to cope with. Is this why so many people don't follow God today?

Perhaps, but I still lean on him every day. This upcoming death is making feel as though I am flying into pieces. Thank you for your kindness.

Oh Therese, your poem shows the sorrow and agony you are going through while you watch your sister's sufferings. To be honest, I hope it soon will be over for her and for you as her family. Then the process of healing can start. I'm so sorry for you all. Kind regards. Ulla:)))

I cannot stand the thought of losing her, but I have many moments where I wish God would take her so that she would no longer be suffering. She?s in so much pain and I don?t know why. I don?t know why they don?t have her on the morphine drip yet unless she is refusing it. Thank you, as always, for your kind words.
-
You would have thought they would douse her with morphine to ease the pain. They normally do. A very difficult situation. xx
-
She is currently on oxycodone, a fentanyl patch, and medicinal marijuana. They are not helping much.
-
Doo the doctors know how much pain she's in? Maybe she's not capable of saying it. I don't know. I hope a solution can be found. I feel for you all. xx
-
I don?t think she is always honest with them. Her husband cannot go in with her anymore because of Covid, as he used to do everything the doctor said. We?re kind of in the dark in the situation, and it is not something I really want to ask her about.
-
I can see that the situation is complicated. xx
-
Thank you for caring,

Thank you for checking in. It means a lot to me.

Thank you Dolly. I try to be so strong. I want her suffering to end, but I hate the thought of my world without her in it.
Blessings,
Terry

Prayers for you sister now. I've prayed for God's mercy as I was recently at this point with my mother-in-law. Her skin was so dehydrated, it looked like potato chips. However, death finally came. Hang in, dear one. She's so blessed to have you near and you are an answer to her prayer whether you see it or not.
Sending you my best today as always,
Sally xoxoxo

This one breaks my heart, Terry. This is the prayer for everyone who has to watch someone die. Is there anything worse in the whole living experience? I have written so many sentences here. Then erased them. There is nothing to be said really. In a beautiful way, you have put you and your sister in our thoughts and prayers. May you both have a peaceful day.

Thank you Debbie. You are right - there is nothing to say. I have given up looking for answers. Watching a sibling, who is one year younger than me, die is excruciating. Thank you for your kind words.

Such a beautiful yet so very heart-wrenching collection of quatrains for your pen to plead for your sister... May your prayers of appeal be answered...
