Your story is well-written, creative, descriptive, and delightful --a bit sad, as you must ay farewell to an old "friend." This is an enjoyable, sentimental piece.

Thanks for coming by. Glad you enjoyed it.

I know you probably won't get a reward but a second verse has now been added if you care to look.

Why can't someone sew up any place that's leaking sand? I would not give her up. Maybe put her on display if you get a replacement. Your pictures are good to show Molly. I enjoyed your poem. Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

She doesn't look as good as the photos anymore. They were probably taken in her earlier days. Quite faded now. I would love someone to make her a new "suit" though. Thanks for coming by.

Yes I think Molly might be suffering from "leaking fever" we've had a door snake that blocks in the warm air in our living room from leaking out, so I sympathise Geoff, well done Geoff, an excellent post, blessings Roy

Hey Bro thanks for your visit. We do have a snake to keep out the cold and he may be suffering similarly and nowhere near as old as Molly.

A fine addition to your book of musing, dear Geoff. We had a teddy bear that met the same fate. I tried to wash her, but she took on the road grime as we have all boys. So sad for your loss. I hope you're replace her. ;)
Sending you my best today as always,
Sally xoxo

Thank you for sharing your longterm relationship with Molly--she will be hard to replace. I enjoyed your rhythmic, rhymed quatrains and the various angles of your faithful "stopper". Big smiles- Joan

Thanks Joan, just glad to be back writing again. I dug out an old Blocked Muse poem for another run you might have seen it before. I have another Ramble coming probably tomorrow.

What a unique present. Your poem is delightful in spite of having to say goodbye to Molly. I so glad you muse has decided to wake up. I'll be looking forward to more from ;you.

So nice to learn that Molly is going to survive after all. I like your added lines.

Thanks Beth I am hoping we can get someone to make her a new coat. Her coat is a loot more faded than these earlier pictures might indicate.

Sweet and simple and Ode to the inevitability's in life. Molly's owners have loved and appreciated her beauty and service but have made their hard-won character arcs and realized that there is a end to all good friendships--at least on this Earth--and that parting is so sad, but necessary for all concerned. They have accepted the idea of a new daily door companion. Molly has accepted that too. Sweet agreement. Thank you for sharing Molly's pictures with us! We are with you through your transition.
Lessons for all readers here.
Brave! Well done!
What a lovely redemptive surprise! Thank you for sharing your amazing solution with us. Nothing like a good repair. I'm sure Molly will be so grateful that she gets to continue your respective journey's together. Wow. Made my day!
Well done!

Lucy, thank you so much for your commiserations and your lovely extensive review. A story in itself. Sadly her coat is now much faded, unlike these earlier "life" pictures.

Hi there! I was looking for something light to end the night and got a message you had posted. I'm just dropping by. Just reviewed three posts.
So glad I got to read this. It's so cute. You left me wanting to adopt Molly. Way to go! God bless you!

Hey are you still around? I had not seen anything from you in ages I thought we were fans of each other? You did a lot of posting about Ronald MacDonald house I think some time way back? I was on my way outta here but someone paid for me to stay another year. Thanks for coming by.
-
Hello, Sankey. I haven't been around. I'll try to review every now and then.
As for the Ronald McDonald Book, I finished it and am trying to publish, but you knwo how difficult it is.
I'm glad someone was that nice to you. That's difficult these days. But at the same time there are good people out there. If they did it for you, it's because you deserve it. See you around!Keep safe!

Good hewaring from you. I seem to remember English is your second language is thaty right? Another lady originally from Denmark is similar and I have helped her a lot with corrections in English in her writings. Look for Ulla she has done a lot of great writing. Currently writing about her Great Grandfather in his younger days as a fisherman and so on.
-
Yes, English is my second language indeed. I'm an English as a foreign laguage teacher here in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where I'm from. I'll check her work! Thanks! Cheers!

Oh, I hope you could give a copy of your poem to the givers of that precious wedding gift. I guess Molly can't be sewn back up? It's such a special thing to have a wedding gift last that long.

Hi friend. Yeah just sorry they moved to our "other two states" as we call New Zealand, only a couple of thousand miles off our East Coast. Her coat is pretty faded unlike the photos taken in her earlier days. Thanks for the lovely review.

This is a lovely tribute to a special gift. Your poem rhymed perfectly and your structure was good. Sometimes we do get attached because of the memories the gift holds. Very well done.
