I have lots of fond memories and picking blue bells and you revived them here in your poem as you brought the scene to life with your words here, love Dolly x

This is a great 575. I love the entire presentation--the color scheme, the picture, the rhyme, the alliteration, and your sweet message. It all works nicely to create a great contest entry, Mystery Author. Best wishes.
Respectfully, Jan

The author's words are descriptive, clear and creative. The first two
lines of this poem flow and connect well. The last line says it all!
The artwork is perfect and compliments this poem well.
Have a great weekend!

It's interesting that you bring up your poem and I read it today. In Reading Pennsylvania, it was 85° with 90% humidity. Then about 5:30 pm, dark clouds came and within an hour the temperature dropped 15° but the humidity is still about the same. Still, it was much more comfortable. Best wishes.

I like this poem a lot.
It's a very sensual poem. And the phrases "cool rain" and "wet earth" blend two elements of nature in a very nice way.
"bluebell bends to smell" creates a nice visual, though it feels not quite as striking as the rest of the poem.
Good work.

In haiku there's a juxtaposition between line two and three. The flowers bend to smell the wet soil... it's called metaphor.
Thank you.

This 5-7-5, After the Cool Rain, has the right set up and finds a particular blossom that loves the earthy odors of the wonderful woods.
