Thank you for alerting me to our fellow FanStorian's plight. I cannot imagine such recurring trials, plus having had Coronavirus. Your prayerful "petition" is very appropriate and make great use of the Sapphonic Triad form. Mary and her husband wiil be in my thoughts- Joan

Hello Helen. This is a whale constructed sapphonic triad poem.
I have a suggestion about the third line of the first stanza. Instead of ears I would use the word ear which actually makes it more metaphorical and it sounds better to me against the word near.

Robert, that is a brilliant suggestion. I kept thinking about the pair of ears but the metaphor allows me to just use one. I have changed it. Thank you so much!! Blessings!

Just as in the Bible verse you include, you ask for fervent cries to reach God's ear. You show confidence that He will hear. The Sapphonic Triad is an interesting form. It requires you to make the most of each word, which you have done. It flows very musically. judi

Thank you, Judi. It's the perfect form if you want to share a quote. I hope you'll try one. Maybe a quote from Honest Abe?
Hugs!

This sapphonic triad, Cry in the Night, has the proper formatting and reminds the reader that communication with God can
be a shout
or
said without
words.

My heart bleeds for Mary and her family.
I have been there in the same situation
in the past with my beloved husband, Jim.
It's very thoughtful of you to let us know
need for prayer. I will add them to mine.
Nancy:)

Oh thank you so much, Nancy. Appreciate the prayers and the review, too! You've been there and know how hard it is. Saying a prayer of blessings for you and yours! Hugs!

I think this is a strong and worthy posting for these difficult times. Sometimes all we have left is a thread of hope--but, by looking to the Lord, it is strong enough to get us through a present situation until things improve. Prayer is a powerful weapon against negative feelings and hurtful circumstances. Thank you for sharing this, Helen. Stay well, my friend! xo

Did I somehow miss that you started these? It's always sad to hear that someone is in a bad way, but even more so these days... because we all know what it means, and what it could mean. My prayers for MaryKay and Jorge. :)

Thank you for reviewing, Susan and especially, thank you for praying. Mary Kay has been through so much this year!
Yes, I started this book for anyone to request prayers in poetry or prose so we can pray for each other. Have you heard from Fonda lately? I wrote her an email but never heard back. Thanks for your compassionate response! Hugs!

I haven't heard from her in months. I send a text, and message on Messenger about once a month, hoping for a response. Last time I heard from her she said she was going through some medical crap and would get in touch when she could.
Now, she's usually the type to share... a lot. So not hearing anything worries me a bit. It has been since... hang on, let me check... holy cow, it was January 18th. But her messages are still being delivered so her phone is still on. That tells me she's ok. Maybe she should be next on the list?

Oh, maybe you're right. Want to write a poem in the book? You know her better. Sasha is another one I worry about. Let me know what you decide.

This piece is a moving, specific poetic request for prayer for someone.
I'm sure many Fan Story members are personally--and grievously--affected by illnesses, some related to the pandemic.

Yes, since our community is worldwide, we will hear more about each other's situations. Thanks so much for reviewing, Janice! Hugs!

I am amazed at all the new forms of poetry that are composed on FanStory. This is an interesting form and you've created something which I enjoyed reading. I wonder how these would be received outside the FanStory community.

I remember doing a month of this form and loved the style. This piece is excellently done and the pain I have had has stopped me from reviewing and I have missed this new area you have started. I truly love this and she is added to my prayers. Thank you for pointing it out to us

Thank you so much, Barb, for reviewing when I know you don't feel well much of the time. You are in my prayers! If there is anything you need prayer for, please add a chapter to this book. Hugs!
