Hi Sal! Your poem met the syllabic requirements just right and it has an emotional message using the winds as a metaphor for turbulent times in life. Best wishes in the contest!

I appreciated the parallel picture you added and your use of alliteration to intensify your message in this evocative, Four-Line Poem. Your analogy in the final line was very effective. Best wishes in the contest- Joan

Hello Sally. Your four line poem meets the style standard for the contest. It's clear the poem has nothing to do with blowing hair, it has everything to do with life's stress.

Looks is if the young lady is acting out your wording. I see nothing wrong with this write. The author grants an insight of a certain mood for the poem. Best wishes.

Yes Sally those winds do shift in strange ways. Of course, during this pandemic, most of us do have more hair to be tousled (-; Good musical addition to accompany your post.

Comment from Gloria ....
This is some fine poetry, Sally. The wind is a powerful force as you have most aptly illustrated. Showing us the visuals and emotional outcomes of that wild wind.
Best of luck to you with the Contest Committee with this beauty.

I tell you the winds of God can certainly do that for one. My thinking is no where near the same thinking as before God got hold of me. A wonderful theme dear Sally, most imaginative, good luck, blessings, Roy

Good poem and great pic and layout. If I could hear it the song is probably good too. Now back to your stories, please. I know this line is not long enough, as usual.

Lovely poem, full of motion and emotion. It has a great feeling of movement, throughout. It's a great photo -- is that you? You look beautiful. The Cat Stevens music goes well with the mood and is much appreciated.

Someone similar to me about 35+ years ago. I will be 65 this summer, my dear one. (Those children in my profile picture are my grandchildren.) I love you extra for saying that though. My inside beauty will have to carry me through. As long as Jackson thinks so, I'm good. Anyway, I'm delighted you enjoyed this and wrote it very quickly last night and posted this morning. Thanks for lovely review and kindest compliments. Love,
Sal xoxoxo

I think you still look lovely :-) Anyway, at 62, I'm not far behind! It's the same with my husband; he always thinks I'm a knockout, and that's fine with me! Absolutely, that's what counts! When I was very young and much closer to this world's ideal of beautiful, I never received so much love and appreciation from any boyfriend, as I do now, from my loving husband, in our maturity. It's so amazing! That's what God can do!
And of course, inside beauty is #1 in His Book.
Your grandchildren look so beautiful, wow! God bless you all.
Love, Mary Kay xoxo
