LOL!! Believe it or not, we used that exact term for a small sycamore that was balanced on the ledge atop a neighboring hill... ;) :) ;) They say there's a fine line between bravery and stupidity - guess in the tree's case, he really had no choice! ;) Thanx so much for this one, Gypsy - it really made me smile! ;) Yvette

Your image and haiku pair nicely, Gypsy. I enjoyed reading your haiku. I like the way you compared the tree to one who is brave. Your satori is great. Thanks for sharing a well-written haiku as well as the informative notes.
Respectfully, Jan

These plants are an inspiration to us as human beings, they grow in the most diverse of places, like the crocus plants grows in icy conditions, or plants on rock faces, or through pavement cracks. Well done Gypsy, good luck, blessings, Roy

I see all sorts of trees "bravely" rooting themselves in my Appalachian mountains and stoically holding on in the face of wind and weather... some precariously hang over the road and I often am afraid they will come crashing down, kamikaze like, onto or in front of my car... I feel this poem is really an apt observation of nature!
